If you carry on down Dombföldi Street among the wine cellars, you can reach the Arpadian Age Church, which is one the most beautiful built cultural heritage of Hévíz.   From April to October you can reach it with the Dottó sightseeing train, or by car to Egregyi Street.

This new flight opens up new markets for the whole Balaton region. According to the plans the first plane lands on 4th May 2013 initally with 76 seats on board. The weekly flights from May to October establish a fast connection between the Northern European countries and the Western Hungarian spa towns and Lake Balaton.     The Riga International Airport is an important transport station (so called hub) for Northern European passengers. AirBaltic carries 3,300,000 passengers a year to more than 50 destinations. cím: Town Hévíz twinkles with Christmas lights!

lead: On friday with the assistance of Santa Claus the most beautiful shop window awards were handed out.

tartalom: + 1 On the occasion of Advent more and more Christmas lights go up also this year in Hévíz. In addition to the festive decorations of public places, service providers also await the visiting guests with more and more beautiful shop windows and decorated houses. The eye-catching Christmas lights, the decorations, which are sometimes traditional, sometimes  romantic and lovely  or in many cases made of using natural materials, the Christmas tree of the town and the Advent wreath together create the Christmas atmosphere of Hévíz.  This Advent, the Hévíz TDM Association also announced a Christmas decoration contest titled „A brilliant idea!”, for which anyone could enter, who felt that he/she offered customers a really gorgeus christmas window display.   The jury took a walk around the town in the afternoon of 4th December in order to rate the shop windows, and announced its rating points in several categories, such as elegance, harmonic appearence, style, use of natural materials, surprising, funny or fabulous ideas. The general public could vote for the service provider who would won the Audience Award based on the pictures shared by the participants on the website www.facebook.com/heviz.info. Awards were given out in a total of 4 categories.  I. The 15 nominated hotels for the "Hotel of the Year" contested in three, four and five star categories.  In the four-star superior category the Hotel Európa fit****superior has won the title of “Hotel of the Year”, as the only provincial hotel in Hungary. The jury took into consideration the quality of services (investigated on the basis of the MSZÉSZ' own mystery shopper tests), the innovative sales and hotel management methods, the revenue-indicators, Human Resources practices, CSR as well as the opinions of guests (on hotel review and reservation websites such TripAdvisor, Booking, Expedia, Holidaycheck, etc.).   We are especially proud of this award, because long years of well considered development policy, the customer-centric mentality and the hard work of nearly 200 workers have been rewarded with this prize. Acupuncture is successfully applied as a supplementary treatment for weight loss programs and dieting. By the stimulation of the acupuncture points located on the ears hunger and appetite can be decreased and digestion can be improved.  With the help of acupuncture several diseases can be cured, which cannot be treated by using Western medicine. It was not considered as a reliable treatment method for a long time, but by now it is widespread also in Western countries.  During acupuncture treatment patient is treated with a needle. Stimulation of the acupuncture points located on the body has an influence on the operation of our organs and organ systems. Needles play an important role in the opening of the blockages occurring in the meridians (channels: energy transportation system, which covers the entire body) as described in the acupressure part. The path of Qi (vital power) is opened with needles, by ensuring its circulation and the balancing of controversial energies (Jin and Jang).  In ancient times, when acupuncture was developed needles were made from bones, stones and bamboo. European physicians use flexible steel needles, instead of the traditional golden or silver needles. The length of acupuncture needles varies between 10 to 200 mm. But also permanent needles are used, which are taped after insertion and allowed to remain in the body for several days. There are approximately 400 acupuncture points on our body. During acupuncture treatment thin needles are inserted in various layers of the skin through the acupuncture points. For different diseases the combination of different points are used. Treatment duration varies – it also depends of the illness type. During one treatment multiple needles are inserted in the acupuncture points, and these needles are left in the skin depending on the pain level (starting from 15 minutes to 20 to 25 minutes). If necessary the needles are twisted and moved. Regularity is also very important during acupuncture therapy. In the case of a therapy with 10 to 12 treatments a weekly 1 to 2 treatments are recommended. Acupuncture is suitable for the mitigation of circulation disorders, elimination and mitigation of chronic pains, for the treatment of nervous-, digestive system diseases, respiratory system, dermatological, gynaecological and paediatrics disorders. The treatment does not have any side effects.

Due to the toxic substances deposited in the fatty tissue the adipose cells increase in size and as a result blood supply and lymphoid circulation deteriorates. But the reasons for orange skin may be the followings: genes, not sufficient amount of fluid consumption, metabolism and hormone disorder, external impacts, not enough exercise and improper nutrition.     Cellulite massage and physical exercise During the lymphoid and blood circulation stimulating manual massage the toxic substance extraction in the cellulite areas is increased and the stagnant tissue fluids are emptied. The medicinal lake of Hévíz not only provides the feeling of bathing, but also means the basis of traditional medical treatments and healing wellness treatments. Bath treatment constitutes the basis of the medical and healing treatment of Lake Hévíz, but it is also important to emphasise such unique medical treatments as mud-pack, the famous weight bath, different types of medical massage and drinking cure. Paraffin treatment is recommended for the treatment of dry, chapped and stained hands. The treatment starts with a hand wash, which is followed by rubbing. After the removal of the devitalised epidermic cells, the skin absorbs easier the lotion used during hand massage. The next step is dipping the hands in warmed up paraffin, which sticks to the skin and the hands are covered in a plastic bag and gloves. Guest is relaxing for about 20 minutes in the wrap. After that the gloves together with the paraffin are removed. Finally the hands are covered in skin-protection lotion. The treatment does not only treat the skin surface, but the active agents are also absorbed by deeper layers of the skin through the pores thus increasing blood circulation and oxygen supply of the tissues. The word paraffin comes from the composition of the Latin words of parum and affinis. Paraffin may be liquid, gas or solid. In clear format it is solid, odourless, colourless, white material with a waxy touch. Melting point is around 47 to 64 °C.

The Managing Director of Tourism Non-profit Ltd. of Hévíz, Horváth Orsolya said that the timing of the Therapy's branding was a special pleasure for the town, as it was 220 years ago this year that the first bathhouse had been built on the lake. In the course of these two centuries the Traditional Hévíz Therapy has simply become a brand. The qualification certificates related to the Therapy were handed over by the Mayor of Hévíz, Papp Gábor and the Managing Director of the Tourism Ltd., Horváth Orsolya. In addition to bathing in medicinal water, the basic element of the Therapy are mud bath and weight bath. As additional treatment, the consumption of the medicinal water from a drinking-fountain is also a part of the healing process, as well as massages, movement therapies, and physio- and hydro therapies too. The duration of the therapy is two weeks in a standard case. Professionals, specialised in this area, has worked on the development of the standardised Therapy, the fruit of their work is the establishment of a unique healing system.
