The project, consisting of several phases and elements, with a realization period from January 6th, 2017 to March 31st, 2022, is being carried out with the support of the European Union
tartalom: + 1 The largest natural and biologically active thermal lake in the world was declared a "Hungarikum" (meaning special things which are unique to Hungary) years ago and was also included in the list of special national values of Hungary. The flora and fauna of Lake Hévíz are unique due to the water temperature, its composition and its special environment. Due to mild water temperature that you can experience all year around, there is a Mediterranean microclimate around Lake Hévíz, which has produced some very rare animal and plant species. These wonders of nature must be consciously and sustainably protected, and it is precisely for this reason that a comprehensive protection project is being implemented, for which 662 million Hungarian Forints are being invested.   THE PARTS OF THE LARGE-SCALE PROJECT In the nature reserve of Lake Hévíz the reduction of invasive alien animal and plant species, and species protection was introduced, the improvement of the tree population in the protection forest in the nature reserve was executed, The biodiversity of the green areas in the Hévíz-Keszthely moor was increased, Improvements to the water level regulation and the water control system - this includes e.g. the locks – were made. The infrastructure that showcases the Hévíz Lake and the Hévíz Stream as a green corridor between the Keszthely Mountains and the Kis-Balaton was developed. SPECTACULAR PROJECT ELEMENTS DELIVERED ON JULY 14th: the 2.2 km long Water Lily educational trail at the thermal lake 15 m high treetop viewpoint A plank path from which the swampy habitat with the newly filled thermal lake can be admired on accessible routes The resting areas, benches and bridges were renewed   CURRENT PROJECTS: But the work is far from over. Many elements of the project are still in the works, and ideas for further improvements came up that would serve the comfort of guests and residents alike. For example, the design of resting and stretching points next to the running routes, family-friendly natural rest areas, additional planting, but also the creation of a wet biotope is a process that takes several years. In addition, walkers with dogs will not be left without developments in the near future, because development plans have also been drawn up that think about them. The opening ceremony was followed by a tour of the development area, part of which was the handover of the roofed canopy viewpoint, which is currently in trial operation.   [galeria] More information: Tourinform Office Hévíz 8380 Hévíz, Rákóczi str. 2. +36 83 540 131 heviz@tourinform.hu

It is not a coincidence that our frequent guests tend to choose the autumn months for their stay since they can still enjoy our bath when the beaches of Lake Balaton are already too cold to visit. See the city before and after your bath! Which city should you see first? Hévíz, Keszthely, Tapolca, Badacsony, Szigliget… There are so many experiences waiting for only you to discover in the West-Balaton area! It is not too hot anymore, but the cold weather is still far away, so we have the best weather for some exploring! lead: + 3 The Lake Spa of Hévíz received a prestigious award in September 2021. In an international comparison, Hévíz was chosen among the 20 most renowned, and most beautiful thermal baths in Europe.
tartalom: + 1 A team of experts from the international travel magazine Lonely Planet has only found two more extraordinary spas than the Lake Spa of Hévíz. First place was given to the famous Icelandic Blue Lagoon, a truly magical place, if not a naturally formed lake. The second place was awarded to the Thermal Bath Spa in England, a classic spa that can only be visited as a museum today, bathing is not here permitted. The Lonely Planet compilation includes a total of 20 thermal baths, and in addition to Hévíz, Budapest's Széchenyi Bath has also made it into the top 10.   WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN ABOUT THE 10 MOST EXTRAORDINARY BATHS?   1. Blue Lagoon, Iceland You have to see it to believe it! It is said that the bright turquoise-blue pool, 30 minutes from Reykjavik in the rugged lava fields, could easily be assumed to be a natural formation; however, it was created artificially. Its water is full of which is from the nearby Svartsengi geothermal power plant. Source: Lonely Planet   2. Thermae Bath Spa, England So romantic! The Thermae Bath Spa in Bath, England took second place on the list. Here can be found the only hot spring in Great Britain, where the water  has been enjoyed by many throughout history from the Celts to the Saxons. According to the legend, the spring was discovered around 863 by a king named Bladud. From the outdoor pool we can admire the ornate buildings of Bath Abbey. Source: Claudio Divizia/shutterstock.com   3. Hévíz, Hungary Back to nature! Water full with water lilies, well-tended parks... If that's not enough, this city can also boast with the world's largest biologically active lake with natural medicinal water. The thermal complex can also be visited in the winter and its natural thermal water has a temperature of around 38°C in the summer.   4. Bains de Dorres, France A magnificent view! lead: + 3 The pandemic has forced us to change our lifestyles and pay more attention to our ourselves including our health as well. On the one hand, most people find it important to strengthen their immune systems, while many had to find alternative solutions that can be used at home (e.g., exercising, beauty routines).
tartalom: + 1 We asked the expert of NaturMed Hotel Carbona**** to outline in a few points what new wellness trends we can expect in the new year: Linking health assessment and prevention to wellness will be a priority. Employers will be more sensitive to the health of their employees due to mental illnesses caused by working from home and the feeling of confinement. Thus, most employers may prefer to provide wellness services to their employees as a bonus. So let's see in details what the most important wellness trends this year will be!   The Key to Boosting Your Immune System: Creating a Healthy Diet and Relaxing Sleep Conditions Recently, more and more people are beginning to believe that it is better to protect their health continuously throughout the year, instead of boosting their immune system only a couple of times in a year. According to the expert of Hotel Carbona, a healthy diet has a fundamental role in strengthening our immune system, as it allows us to adjust our ideal body weight and increase our stamina. As for the trends of 2022, we will see the renaissance of cold-pressed vegetable and fruit juices. Regular consumption of these will now be less associated with seasonal juice fasting. Another key to maintain our physical and mental health is getting the right amount and quality of sleep. It is estimated that about one third of people suffer from insomnia, and in the last year or two we have seen that as a result of the pandemic and post-Covid syndrome, sleep disturbance and insomnia have become more and more common, so an increasing emphasis will be placed on sleep hygiene this year.     Lighter forms of exercises instead of high intensity trainings The recent period has also brought changes in the field of exercise. We were stuck between the four walls for months and there was no way to go to the gym or attend group classes. As a result, the popularity of online classes and instructional videos quickly rose, so we didn’t have to give up exercise at home either. On the other hand, far more people started training outdoors where they did not have to fear contacting someone else. According to the expert from Carbona, online exercise will remain popular this year as well. However, as more attention is paid towards maintaining physical and mental health, more subtle exercises aimed for all ages will be more dominant instead of high-intensity exercises. Such forms of movement include various stretching exercises, yoga or hiking.     2 in 1: medical condition assessment and wellness in one go This year, more people are expected to combine relaxation and wellness with medical assessment and prevention. One of the reasons for this is that many people did not have access to various routine examinations due to the pandemic. At the same time domestic tourism was relaunched, and spa and wellness hotels were reopened, where the medical condition survey was part of various prevention and rehabilitation package offers. And all of this can be appealing not only to those who want to be up to date with their own physical and mental health, but also to those who are struggling with post-Covid syndromes. In some accredited spas, they already have the opportunity to take part in a rehabilitation program compiled by specialists, which seeks to alleviate or eliminate physical, mental and cognitive disorders with a series of individual treatments after the condition assessment.       Innovative beauty technology tools will become even more popular this year For years, we have seen home beauty products to grow more and more popular, while companies are launching beauty products that allow us to be a beautician to some extend ourselves from the comfort of our home. This trend has been reinforced by the pandemic, as the demand for beauty technology devices that can be used at home has increased. In 2022, therefore, LED light therapy face masks, various devices with micro-current technology and innovative solutions that can even be used at home, for example, to tighten the face, will be increasingly searched after. Of course, in addition to all this, there will continue to be a great demand for the various beauty services and medical aesthetic treatments that require an expert. These include mesotherapy and radiofrequency therapy for cellulite and fat deposits, or hyaluronic acid facials.   The physical and mental health of workers will be appreciated more Of course, the pandemic also left its mark on the world of work: many people continued to work remotely while trying to reconcile their work with family life. This has been a real challenge for many, especially because not everyone likes to work from home or simply be locked up in their own apartment. The closure due to the epidemic has had a negative impact on many of us, which is why the mental health of workers will increase in 2022, according to the expert from Carbona: mental health training, even online, may become increasingly important. Where they see this as an opportunity or embedded in the corporate culture, employers are more likely to support their employees with wellness benefits. Of course, this can also depend a lot on changes in the cafeteria system at work.   One thing is sure: Hévíz is full of wellness and therapy services where you can not only rest and recharge your batteries, but you can also focus on prevention. You will be sure to choose from a wide range of accommodations based on your individual needs regarding health. We are open, and we can’t wait to meet you in Hévíz!   More information about programs, accommodations etc.: Tourinform HévízH-8380 Hévíz, Rákóczi str. 2.+36 83 540 131heviz@tourinform.hu

lead: + 3 After the limited spring, you definitely want to get out of the four walls, move freely and enjoy the pure nature. The possibilities for hiking, running, walking and cycling between the thermal lake in Lake Hévíz and Lake Balaton are limitless.
tartalom: + 1 The scenic beauty of Lake Hévíz and the western corner of Lake Balaton are inviting nature lovers to explore their own freedom: the six-kilometre-long Hévíz-Keszthely cycle path starts in the forest next to the thermal lake and leads directly to the 204-kilometer Balaton cycle route . Those who cycle along the northern shore of Lake Balaton must discover the medieval castle ruins and the many volcanic hills all around the Szigliget peninsula (approx. 30 km).   From Balatongyörök (15 kms from Hévíz) you can also travel by ship with your bike and cross the Lake over to Balatonmáriafürdő which is located on the southern shores of Lake Balaton. From there it is another 30 kilometers back to Hévíz. Fenékpuszta with its Roman ruins or the Kis-Balaton National Park with the visitor centers, the internationally known bird reserve and the buffalo reserve are also ideal stops along the long ride. If you take the southern route on the Balaton cycle route from Keszthely, you can also head directly to the Kis-Balaton (approx. 15 km). We would also like to reccomend another cycle tour which is about 30 kilometers long and leads northwest of Hévíz through the Zala Valley. Along the way, beautiful viewpoints, sights, small wine cellars and the so called csárdas invite you to stop and admire the hidden beauties of the region.   The breathtaking beauty of Transdanubia with its gentle curves between the Bakony forest and the Keszthely Mountains, the hills of Somogy and Zala are also known for the many hiking routes and natural attractions. 20 kms west of Hévíz, as part of the Balaton Uplands National Park can be found the five-kilometer-long stalactite cave, called Csodabogyós. About 30 kilometers northeast of Hévíz, a the small town can be found, called Tapolca which has one of the most breathtaking attractions of the region. In the Cave Lake of Tapolca you can take rowing boat trips under the city. Wine hikers must travel to Szigliget which is located on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. Next  to Szigliget, Badacsony is also a great place for wine lovers. The Badacsony witness mountain has a volcanic origin which gives an extravagant taste to the wines served there. Welschriesling and Pinot Gris vines are the most notable wines of the region, which you should definitely try while stopping there. The wonderful panorama and the cozy wine cellars will make a long lasting impression in the traveller.   Book your accommodation nowon our website where you can choose from several hundred options! tartalom: + 1 The Kányavár Island The arched wooden bridge built of wooden beams in the eighties has now become a symbol of Kis-Balaton. We can enjoy a wonderful view of the groves from the bridge. We can admire special waterfowl such as the great egret, the gray heron, or the cormorant, which is less popular with anglers. On the 1.5-kilometer-long "Búbosvöcsök" educational trail, 15 boards show the fish, birds and mammals living in the Kis-Balaton region. You can also go fishing on the island and look at the water and the hills of Zala from two lookout towers.   If you would rather go inside... The Kis-Balaton Visitor Center is the latest exhibition in the Balaton Uplands National Park. An excellent choice for the whole family all year round, with the interactive exhibition even the little ones won't get bored! On the green roof structure of the building, which resembles game passages, you can walk on an interactive educational trail. From here you can clearly see the winter bird feeders and hear birds chirping. There is a gift shop and restaurant in the building as well, and children can enjoy the fresh air in the playground in the courtyard, while parents can refresh themselves with coffee. The cinema is part of the exhibition, where we can get to know the winter-summer, autumn-spring wildlife of Kis-Balaton through touching quotes from the novels of István Fekete Tüskevár and Téli berek during a half-hour film, all in the interpretive interpretation of Gábor Reviczky.     In the interactive part of the exhibition, we can find out what invasive species are and why do they mean danger to the flora and fauna of the region. It turns out what the role of Kis-Balaton is in the protection of the water quality of Lake Balaton, and we can even examine water samples ourselves. If you want to see even more of this magical world, you can take part in a canoe tour organized by the Balaton Uplands National Park from early spring to late autumn. It is only possible to paddle on the Hévíz stream until the mid-March, but on the Gyöngyös stream, which carries the water of the Hévíz stream towards Lake Balaton, the regular tours are available during the year as well. The end point of the rowing tour is Diás Island, where the hut of Matula evokes the atmosphere of the groves. At the István Fekete Memorial next to the small wooden hut, you could also delve into the hidden wonders of Kis-Balaton during a very interesting exhibition.   Secret sights off the beaten path Most places in Kis-Balaton like the Diás Island can only be visited with a guide, but there are quite a few romantic and protected areas that can be explored freely without a guide. Next to the river Zala, you can find the 'Madárvárta' at the dam of Lake Hídvégi, which was built by students from Zurich. The building was made of thousands of acacia logs without any nails or screws. Next to the parking lot, about 100 meters away, you can find the 'fish ladder', where you can marvel at the cavalcade of fish in the spring. The fish ladder between the river Zala and Lake Hidvégi slows down the flow of water, so fish can easily swim in the opposite direction.     Buffaloes and other animal species In the buffalo reserve in Kápolnapuszta, you can not only see buffalos but you can also spot susliks lurking in the grass! Even in the early 20th century, the ground squirrel was considered harmful and therefore water was into their passages, so they would be forced to move away. Other spectacular animals are the goats and donkeys in the petting zoo. In the colonies carved into the loess wall, the bee-eaters stand out with their brightly colored feathers.     But what about buffaloes? The Balaton Uplands National Park started breeding water buffaloes in 1992 in an area purchased for gene conservation. The reserve is home to the largest herd of buffalo in the country, living in great peace with the gray cattles. During the winter, the animals spend most of their time in the barn near the entrance, where we can see the traditional stock-farming in a cozy old photo next to the buffaloes. In better weather, the animals are on pasture, which is most easily reached by horse-drawn carriage ordered in the centre building. The so called black giants are also “buffalo-strong” and don’t necessarily always approach people with friendly intentions. Driving through in the pastures with a horse-drawn carriage is like being on safari. A novelty in the area of the reserve is the lookout tower, which was handed over on January 28, 2022, where we can now observe the animals from up above.   The Kis-Balaton House: a cultural travel Next to the foundation walls of the former church of St. Adorjan and the Cyril and Methodius Memorial Column, you could enjoy the photos of the wonders of Zala County in a Millennium Monument designed by Imre Makovecz. In the letters hanging from the top of the special-shaped dome, you can read the names of the settlements of the county. At the exhibition of the Kis-Balaton House you can find out about the wildlife, and the children can have fun on the playground. Next to the Kis-Balaton House, you can reach the island of Kanyavár on an asphalted bike path on the bank of the river Zala. You can also rent a bike at the Kis-Balaton House. (Opening: March 12. Address: Zalavár, Vársziget utca 2.)   For more information on sights and programs: Tourinform Hévíz8380 Hévíz, Rákóczi str. 2.heviz@tourinform.hu+36 83 540 131

tartalom: + 1 The reflex zone massage is aimed at primarily activating the self-healing power of the body, but it also has an invigorating and relaxing effect. There are thousands and thousands of end bulbs on our foot and sole. The entire body is reflected on these surfaces like a micro-map. The zones are located vertically (5 bands) and horizontally (3 bands). As a result of damaging lifestyle and improper nourishment and due to the excreta accumulated in the body the metabolism of the cells and the operation of the organ systems and organs deteriorate and energy blockages occur. In the reflex zone related to the given organ various nodes can be detected, which might be sensitive or even very painful. The aim of foot massage is to spread and eliminate these nodes by massaging them and to start up the self-healing processes of the body. Foot massage also stimulates and strengthens the immune system and resolves physical and mental stress.  The main principle of reflex zone type massage is that the acupressure points located on our foot and mainly on our sole can be stimulated and the organs and body parts in relation to these acupressure points can also be influenced. Points, which are sensitive to pressure usually, refer to organ-related disorders.

tartalom: + 1 It is an ancient massage based on Far-eastern traditions. Thai massage is a dry massage, no oils or lotions are used during the treatment; clients wear comfortable light clothes. This form of bodywork is usually performed on the floor or on a mattress. During the massage the acupuncture points are stimulated by using a point pressurizing technique. In Thai massage the techniques of acupressure are joined with stretching, dislocating and snapping elements. Thai masseurs use their hands, elbows, knees and feet during the treatment. An original Thai massage takes about an hour to one and half hours. As it is longer than a traditional massage, the impact of the massage lasts also longer. After the massage client is both physically and mentally rejuvenated, the blood circulation is stimulated and the energies of the body are also activated.  Thai massage does not move the muscles, but by the stimulation of the acupuncture points equalizes the body parts. Regular application of Thai massage has a beneficial impact on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, digestive and locomotor (joint and spine problems, back and lower back aches) diseases and provides client with a sense of physical well-being. Treatments used to take place in churches, they were rather considered as mental exercise than physical treatment. In terms of Thai massage the Wat Pho Church located in Bangkok is still an important training and healing centre.

tartalom: + 1 Not everybody knows this wonder of the nature. A lake in Hévíz is located just 200 km from Budapest. Is it worth driving by car or buying a cheap flight ticket to visit this place where time goes slowly, and the beauty of nature surprises at every step.   A miraculous lake The lake in Hévíz is the biggest biologically active thermal lake in the world in which you can swim. Its surface reaches 4,4 ha and the water temperature oscillates between 24°C in winter and 36°C in summer. These conditions are very favorable for all year long baths as well as for the cultivation of tropical water lilies. They make the reservoir look like the one from a fairy tale. The cleanness of the lake’s water is an asset. 410 liters of hot water stream from the underground source every second, so it is completely replenished every three days. However, the medicinal properties of the lake are its biggest advantage. They were recognized already by the Romans in the 2 century A.D. One of the legends says that Mother Mary wrung / created a spring in Hévíz by the appealing prayer of a Christian nurse for the health of the Roman emperor, Flavius Theodosius. There is a natural peat at the lake’s bed and the water is rich in mineral elements like calcium, magnesium, sulphur.   Idyllic scenery Hévíz is a charming health resort, inhabited by 5 000 citizens, located only 6 km from the Balaton lake. It is also one of the most beautifully flowered town in Hungary and in May 2016 it was given an Innovation Award in the category of the Innovative Spa and Health Resort Destination by the European Spas Association. The number of Polish tourists visiting the city still grows and the standard of the lodging conditions are being constantly improved.   A unique leisure A visit in Hévíz does not need to be only for healing or preventive reasons. In spring and summer when the flowers blossom, the weather encourages for long walks. The lake is surrounded by the forest of exotic trees, where you can find evergreen bald cypresses. On the other hand the city is full of nice cafes and restaurants offering local specialties and exquisite wines. Except for the baths in the thermal lake and the traditional therapy, there is a wide offer of spa and wellness services based on the use of the lake’s water available at the high standard hotels. There are saunas, relaxation massages, beauty treatments, as well as healthy and delicious cuisine is served. For many visitors a stay in Hévíz is a motivation for starting a balanced and healthy way of living. An optimal treatment time is 15 days, however if it not possible it is worth relaxing for a shorter time, too.   Other attractions Hévíz and its surroundings are a perfect place for the fans of cycling tours. lead: + 3 The therapy named after Dr. Sebastian Kneipp monk is based on the stimulus generated by the alternation of cold and hot water.
tartalom: + 1 Dr. Kneipp revolutionized holistic medicine in the 19th century. Main features of the Kneipp-therapy: first of the all the body is heated up, which is followed by a short cooling session and the body is reheated again by using physical exercise. Traditional Kneipp-therapy elements are the followings: hand-, elbow- and knee pouring; hot-wet bolstering and hot baths. The therapy also involves physical exercise in fresh air. The bottom part of the Kneipp foot bath is covered with rounded stones. Stones are covered by cold water. Guests are walking in the bath by lifting their feet from the water to hot air, while the stones are gently massaging the soles. This way cold water and hot air generates the alternating bath character. The alternation of cold water and hot air stimulates the vein walls, thus having a beneficial effect on the blood circulation and refreshing the feet. Regular usage of the Kneipp foot bath prevents the development of inflammations and stimulates the metabolism. Kneipp-therapy is also applied in the case of circulation disorders, tense muscles and exhaustion. Principles of the Kneipp-therapy: for the treatment of chronic illnesses hot stimulus and in the case of acute illnesses cold stimulus is recommended accurate, unambiguous water therapy dosage is required for the best effects cold stimulus can be exclusively applied on hot body (heating takes place by using hot water or with the help of exercise) re-heating after treatment (with hot clothing or exercise) Interesting Sebastian Kneipp was suffering from a serious disease from an early age: he had tuberculosis. He was trying to overcome his illness by self-healing. He applied the knowledge written down by Johann Sigmund Hahn in his book in practice. He tried a method in the winter of 1849 - he run to River Danube, while breathing heavily, he got undressed and jumped into the ice-cold river, than he came out of the water, got dressed and run home- which had a positive effect on his illness. As a result of the “treatment” he felt refreshed and healthier and he repeated the treatment on many occasions following his first try. As an additional treatment he was pouring water on his body and he regularly went bathing. As a result of the therapy he regained his health.

lead: + 3 Lake Hévíz and Lake Balaton are quite popular destinations in Hungary. Daily, more than ten thousand people spend their holidays in this beautiful region. However, we might raise the question: what do we know and what should we know about the two most iconic lakes of Hungary?
tartalom: + 1 While Lake Balaton is the biggest freshwater lake in Central Europe, Lake Hévíz is the world’s biggest thermal lake that is also suitable for bathing. The source of Lake Balaton is a river called Zala, while Lake Hévíz has its source from a cave underneath the lake. The water of Lake Balaton flows through the Sió channel into the river Danube, however, the water of Lake Hévíz flows into the Gyöngyös stream, then to Small Balaton and ends up in Lake Balaton. The deepest point of Lake Balaton is about 11 metres in contrast to Lake Hévíz, where the source point is 38.5 metres deep. The surface of the water of Lake Balaton is 600 km2 whereas Lake Hévíz has only a 0.0475 km2 water surface. Due to the great water output of Lake Hévíz, the complete water of the lake is replaced in every 72 hours. Regarding Lake Balaton, this phenomenon takes almost two years. The temperature of Lake Balaton can be as high as 28°C on hot summer days; however, during cold winters the upper layers of the water can freeze. The ice can even grow 25 cm thick. On the other hand, the temperature of Lake Hévíz never goes below 23°C, not even in the winter. In the summer, the water of Lake Hévíz is about 35-36°C hot. We would be able to swim around Lake Hévíz in about half an hour if the buildings did not prevent us from doing so. Nonetheless, a week wouldn’t be enough to swim around Lake Balaton. Lake Balaton is full of both summertime and wintertime activities: you can rent a boat or a paddleboat, you can surf, sail and try out many extreme sports, while in the winter you can ice skate or slide if the ice is thick enough. In Lake Hévíz, you may only bath; however, you can do so every day of the year. The water of Lake Balaton is qualified as drinking water, whereas the water of Lake Hévíz is medicinal water also suitable for cures and many people drink it. In Lake Balaton, you can bath all day long, while, in Lake Hévíz, it is advisable to stay only thirty minutes at a time. We can even walk into Lake Balaton from the shores, while into Lake Hévíz we can descend into the water through stairs since the water is 2 metres deep around the shores as well. The typical flora of Lake Balaton is the reed which is mostly located around the shores. Lake Hévíz is famous for the beautiful water lilies that float around the whole Lake. Both lakes are rich in different species of fish. The mud of Lake Balaton is quite popular with kids who love playing with it on the beaches. On the other hand, the mud of Lake Hévíz is favoured by adults, who like to use the mud on their bodies due to its medical benefits. Lake Balaton as a touristic region is the second most popular region in Hungary after Budapest. At the same time, Hévíz, following Budapest, has the greatest number of guest nights in Hungary. Lake Balaton offers spectacular views whether you are watching it in the embrace of monadnocks, admiring it in a storm, or you are taking photos of the birds gathering along the crevasses or of the bellying sails. The crystal clear turquoise colour of Lake Hévíz, the blooming water lilies floating on it, the whirling mist above it, the reflection of the buildings at night, and to be aware that you are floating above 38.5 meters are a mystical feeling. Both Lake Balaton and Lake Hévíz are national treasures, which have evolved over millions of years as they are today. They are not for us, but we enjoy all the good that they can give us. We have to save and protect them so that the future generations would be able to enjoy the unparalleled natural beauty they provide.
