Of course, we wanted to embody the contemporary trends as well. The water drops which are also the petals of the water lily were coloured to be green and blue which are symbolising the blue water of the lake and the greenery that surrounds it. We hope the new logo will also strengthen the new message: Hévíz can offer many programs besides the lake all year around’ said the art director of Armadillo marketing agency, Ildikó Szőke.     Continuing Building Hévíz as a Love Brand The new communication of the city includes the already familiar health tourism direction but it also highlights ‘slowing down’ and personalised program possibilities. These new elements can be really appealing to an audience who would like to escape from the tiring weekdays to experience various adventures. ’We wanted to show that Hévíz is more than a lake; Hévíz is the fountain of life and adventures!’ said the managing director of Hévíz Tourism Nonprofit Ltd., Tamás Pálffy. ‘It doesn’t mean we would like to get rid of the old traditions. We would rather continue building the love brand. We would really like if the younger generations and the active middle aged would regard Hévíz and its region as one of the most appealing destinations in Hungary. Of course, we won’t forget about our regulars either: we are going to satisfy the needs of the old and the new senior generations as well’.     The Value of Hévíz is for Forever, but its Face Changes with the World The power of the curing water in Hévíz and the unmatched atmosphere made the city quite popular for centuries. The therapy is also called “tangentor”, which is a therapeutic treatment based on balneotherapy, hydrotherapy and the mechanic impact of the water jet. The treatment is carried out in a special tub, by using a water jet with adjustable jet power, which can target various parts of the body. The water with a temperature of 34-36ºC is supplied from a pipe and it is targeted manually to various parts of the body. The massage stimulates the blood and lymph circulation and by this also stimulates the metabolism, furthermore contributes to the detoxification of the body. But it is a more refined technique with the aim of relaxing the patient and to dissolve the stress fields within the body. Hypnotic and calmative smoothing strokes relax the patient. It is recommended for overdriven, very exhausted patients subject to lot of stress. Please view the below essential oil combinations, which help to boost the relaxing impact of the relaxing massage, thus achieving a more intense relaxation experience. Bergamot, cedar, jasmine, mandarin, rose: this combination is mainly dominated by citrus oils. It has a calming effect and helps relaxation. As a matter of fact it is an energetic treatment, which uses massage and dislocating techniques. Those points are stimulated by this massage, which are located on the energy flow paths of the body. It is based on the meridian system mentioned at the description of the acupressure treatment and on the stimulation of the given acupressure points. Patients are allowed to wear clothing during treatments. The aim of Chinese massage is to remove the barriers obstructing vital power (Qi) flow and to harmonise the body’s energy management. The masseur achieves the required effect by putting pressure on the respective points of the meridian system. Chinese massage technique can be applied in two ways, but it also depends on the treated person and body part. If the aim is to strengthen and stimulate the body the application of Yang technique is recommended; if we wish to relax the body, Yin technique shall be used. Chinese massage therapy is ideal for muscular fatigueness, back- and muscle aches, joint and spine disorders, gynaecological problems, for the mitigation of chronic or virulent rheumatic disorders, furthermore it plays an important role in prevention. Interesting facts First written record related to Chinese massage was found in one of the medical books of the Yellow Emperor. All of them could enter with not more than two types of dry white wine produced in the Wine Region.       The jury finally, after several re-tasting and consultation, chose the Strázsai Winery’s Welschriesling of Rezi of the vintage 2013 as the wine of the year. They hope that this wine does not only represent high quality this year, but will also be very popular with the guests, since it is very nice, popular and consumer-friendly.     The winning wine is also unique, as it was grown and produced very close to Hévíz, in a relatively small winery in Rezi.

The city became peaceful and silent in no matter of time. By the middle of May, the long awaited moment has arrived: life gets back to normal in Hévíz! Shops are already open and terraces of cafés started to get full of life slowly. Lake Hévíz has been open since 9 May, so visitors can swim again in the 30°C lake under the blue sky. The first guests have already arrived in private accommodations. Four hotels will be open by the Whitsun weekend, however, reservations are accepted in every hotel. The hotels are very flexible regarding rescheduling the previously booked dates. During these two months everyone was busy with renovating and renewing so they could provide their guests a better environment than ever.  The safety precautions and hygiene restrictions are taken very seriously everywhere.
