Of course, we wanted to embody the contemporary trends as well. The water drops which are also the petals of the water lily were coloured to be green and blue which are symbolising the blue water of the lake and the greenery that surrounds it. We hope the new logo will also strengthen the new message: Hévíz can offer many programs besides the lake all year around’ said the art director of Armadillo marketing agency, Ildikó Szőke.     Continuing Building Hévíz as a Love Brand The new communication of the city includes the already familiar health tourism direction but it also highlights ‘slowing down’ and personalised program possibilities. These new elements can be really appealing to an audience who would like to escape from the tiring weekdays to experience various adventures. ’We wanted to show that Hévíz is more than a lake; Hévíz is the fountain of life and adventures!’ said the managing director of Hévíz Tourism Nonprofit Ltd., Tamás Pálffy. ‘It doesn’t mean we would like to get rid of the old traditions. We would rather continue building the love brand. We would really like if the younger generations and the active middle aged would regard Hévíz and its region as one of the most appealing destinations in Hungary. Of course, we won’t forget about our regulars either: we are going to satisfy the needs of the old and the new senior generations as well’.     The Value of Hévíz is for Forever, but its Face Changes with the World The power of the curing water in Hévíz and the unmatched atmosphere made the city quite popular for centuries. The therapy is for individual guests only, and it is tailored according to the complaints of the patient. The therapy is also called “tangentor”, which is a therapeutic treatment based on balneotherapy, hydrotherapy and the mechanic impact of the water jet. The treatment is carried out in a special tub, by using a water jet with adjustable jet power, which can target various parts of the body. The water with a temperature of 34-36ºC is supplied from a pipe and it is targeted manually to various parts of the body. The massage stimulates the blood and lymph circulation and by this also stimulates the metabolism, furthermore contributes to the detoxification of the body. It is based on the meridian system mentioned at the description of the acupressure treatment and on the stimulation of the given acupressure points. Patients are allowed to wear clothing during treatments. The aim of Chinese massage is to remove the barriers obstructing vital power (Qi) flow and to harmonise the body’s energy management. The masseur achieves the required effect by putting pressure on the respective points of the meridian system. Chinese massage technique can be applied in two ways, but it also depends on the treated person and body part. If the aim is to strengthen and stimulate the body the application of Yang technique is recommended; if we wish to relax the body, Yin technique shall be used. Chinese massage therapy is ideal for muscular fatigueness, back- and muscle aches, joint and spine disorders, gynaecological problems, for the mitigation of chronic or virulent rheumatic disorders, furthermore it plays an important role in prevention. All of them could enter with not more than two types of dry white wine produced in the Wine Region.       The jury finally, after several re-tasting and consultation, chose the Strázsai Winery’s Welschriesling of Rezi of the vintage 2013 as the wine of the year. They hope that this wine does not only represent high quality this year, but will also be very popular with the guests, since it is very nice, popular and consumer-friendly.     The winning wine is also unique, as it was grown and produced very close to Hévíz, in a relatively small winery in Rezi.

The city became peaceful and silent in no matter of time. By the middle of May, the long awaited moment has arrived: life gets back to normal in Hévíz! Shops are already open and terraces of cafés started to get full of life slowly. Lake Hévíz has been open since 9 May, so visitors can swim again in the 30°C lake under the blue sky. The first guests have already arrived in private accommodations. Four hotels will be open by the Whitsun weekend, however, reservations are accepted in every hotel. The hotels are very flexible regarding rescheduling the previously booked dates. During these two months everyone was busy with renovating and renewing so they could provide their guests a better environment than ever.  The safety precautions and hygiene restrictions are taken very seriously everywhere. Water temperature in the Jacuzzi pools is about 30-37 °C. The intensity and duration of the bubbles and water jets are controlled by an automated program.  In the Jacuzzi bath the upwelling water jets and air bubbles massage certain points of the body, thus relaxing the muscles and expanding the pores in the pleasant warm water; as a result of the stimulated blood circulation the deposited toxins are drained and the skin becomes firm and flexible. Heat and oxygen enhance the healing impact of the massage. As a result, the skin will be firmer and more elastic.   Jogging Jogging combines all the benefits of walking; it conditions the heart, improves muscle tone and strength, relieves stress, and can help with a variety of health problems, such as osteoporosis, heart disease and arthritis.   Kneipp steps You tread cold water stepping on pebbles placed on the bottom of a tub while walking around. The legs are lifted out of the tub at every step so that the cold water and the warm air will provide the contrasting bath character. The pebbles gently massage the reflex zones of the soles initiating a certain regulatory process.     Laconium It is a cool version of the Finnish sauna. The temperature may not exceed 55 C° and the degree of humidity is insignificant. tartalom: + 1 On 29th July 2015, the European Commission signed the grant contract, in the framework of which a 15 months' health tourism development was launched. The international project „OFF TO SPAS” is implemented in the cooperation of 7 partners of 4 countries. Hungary is represented by Pannon University (project coordinator), Tourism Non-profit Ltd. of Hévíz and the Municipality of County Zala, further members of the consortium are: AGE Platform Europe AISBL, Consiliul Judetean Covasna, Asociatia Pentru Dezvoltarea Turismului in Judetul Covasna and Travel Specialist Group Sweden AB. The aim of the project is to create a Central European transnational balneological tourism product for the older (senior) age group that extends the market of medicinal and thermal tourism to those sending areas where the demand for medicinal and wellness tourism related to natural waters can be increased.  Objectives of the project: to create a tourism product network that takes into account the special needs of the older age group, to improve the number and quality of the cooperation between the members of the tourism value chain and the organisations/associations of the elderly, to increase the turnover of low or middle season in terms of tourism in order to improve the effectiveness and competitiveness of tourism SMEs, to promote tourism as the strategy of active and healthy aging, to increase the professionalism of the tourism service providers in order to ensure the sustainability and self-development of the project. For the sake of all these, the following main activities will be implemented by the partners: Conducting a research in support of the health tourism development: market study concerning the elderly, surveys, comparative analyses, researches testing the market of the elderly and balneological issues, involving the membership of AGE Platform as well as the customers of the travel agency Travel Specialist Group Sweden AB, Creating a balneological tourism product network, - through the example of Hévíz and Covasna - which offers location- and market-specific medical and health assistance programs for the older age group,   Discussion forums, workshops related to the project for the purpose of network building and partnerships, and exchanging good practices,  Extensive marketing communication, which addresses decision makers and potential travellers, and conforms to the special needs of target groups and to tourism trends. The first step of the project ending in September 2016 is the two days' meeting starting today in Hévíz, during which the participating partners coordinate the main tasks and actions.  The application was submitted in December 2014 by the partners for the European Commission's invitation to tender with the identification number „COS-TFLOWS-2014-3-15”. Due to the application prepared on high professional standards, the European Commission considered the project eligible for funding with the originally requested budget – with EUR 208,565 EU funds and EUR 69,533 deductibles. At the European Union level, a total of 10 application won support in the calling for tender.
