Explore Hévíz!

Lake Hévíz, historic buildings and countless natural attraction waits to explore

The most important scenic spot of the town is the world-famous Lake Hévíz and its surroundings. However, the lake Hévíz, its surroundings and the sights of the town are not just to see but you can also sense them. Come along and you’ll experience that while taking a walk in the town, you will “use” all your organs of sense.

You can admire the lake, the sight of the pink water-lilies and the richly-coloured flowers in bloom spreading cheerfulness, freshness and beauty along the walkway from spring to autumn. You can sense the “healing” scent of the water, flowers and coffee spreading from the terraces of lovely cafés. You will hear the twittering of birds after waking in the mornings and the Gypsy music tempting to enter the restaurant in the evening, but you cannot hear any usual city noises, horns or train rattles. You can feel the special Mediterranean-like microclimate as walking along Vilmos Schulhof Promenade leading to the main entrance of the Lake. You will meet friendly locals and enjoy their hospitality. You can try the tastes of the local food and special wines, and all these senses will help you experience what real relaxation means.

Hévíz offers you all sorts of opportunities. Come and explore it yourself, visit its natural and man-made attractions as well as listed buildings and monuments.

You’ll be welcome whenever you visit Hévíz!
