In the middle of the 19th century it was acknowledged that the medicinal effect of essential oils cannot be supplemented by anything else.   During sauna treatment in an aroma-therapy cabin the air of the cabin with varying temperatures is aromatised by using essential oils. Essential oils may have various relaxing or refreshing effects.     In the aroma-therapy cabin essential oils are inhaled or penetrate the skin and have their beneficial effects: prevent the spreading of bacteria and fungus; clear the respiratory passages; stimulate the blood supply of the skin and muscular tissue, thus alleviate pain and inflammation; beneficial for the digestive and secretory organs and they have a relaxing effect. Major reason for using essential oils is that they have a positive effect on our soul and emotions. Essential oils release emotional and mental blockages instantly.   Application forms of essential oils: Aromatic cabin/sauna: means entire body inhalation. November is the month when we have a little time left to victual for chilly days. As the weather and the seasons change, so vary the sellers’ goods at Hévíz Market. Besides the usual wares - handmade goods, cheese, bakery products, meat, autumn fruit and vegetables - there are also cakes, decorations, food and drinks displayed, which spread the advent and Christmas atmosphere. The sweet smell of roasted chestnut, pumpkin or hot mulled wine and chimney cake fill the air. According to traditions new wine can be drunk after Saint Martin’s Day, so the nectar of this year’s harvest can be found also in the offer of the vineries selling at the market.     It is a part of the advent preparation that we set up our surroundings with decorations and soft lights. Sweet smelling candles, lampions, advent wreaths, decorations with angels and bells can’t be missing from the stands of the stall-keepers – of course all the goods are made of the sellers’ own material and by hand. Gingerbread, chimney cake, “bejgli” (poppy seed or walnut roll)… - are the essential cakes of advent and the Christmas feeling.   Walking among the craftsmen, antique dealers, wood-carvers, potters, textile sellers you might also find the perfect Christmas gift. You can choose from the offer of more than 300 sellers even in wintertime. Even the cold weather cannot frighten away the producers and the costumers. The market is very lively and busy even on cold days. This new flight opens up new markets for the whole Balaton region. According to the plans the first plane lands on 4th May 2013 initally with 76 seats on board. The weekly flights from May to October establish a fast connection between the Northern European countries and the Western Hungarian spa towns and Lake Balaton.     The Riga International Airport is an important transport station (so called hub) for Northern European passengers. AirBaltic carries 3,300,000 passengers a year to more than 50 destinations. tartalom: + 1 The 7th Wine of Town Hévíz Selection took place at 1 pm on 23rd April 2014 in the Assembly hall of the Local Government of Hévíz. 10 wineries from County Zala and the Balaton Wine Region were invited. All of them could enter with not more than two types of dry white wine produced in the Wine Region.       The jury finally, after several re-tasting and consultation, chose the Strázsai Winery’s Welschriesling of Rezi of the vintage 2013 as the wine of the year. They hope that this wine does not only represent high quality this year, but will also be very popular with the guests, since it is very nice, popular and consumer-friendly.     The winning wine is also unique, as it was grown and produced very close to Hévíz, in a relatively small winery in Rezi.

lead: On friday with the assistance of Santa Claus the most beautiful shop window awards were handed out.

tartalom: + 1 On the occasion of Advent more and more Christmas lights go up also this year in Hévíz. In addition to the festive decorations of public places, service providers also await the visiting guests with more and more beautiful shop windows and decorated houses. The eye-catching Christmas lights, the decorations, which are sometimes traditional, sometimes  romantic and lovely  or in many cases made of using natural materials, the Christmas tree of the town and the Advent wreath together create the Christmas atmosphere of Hévíz.  This Advent, the Hévíz TDM Association also announced a Christmas decoration contest titled „A brilliant idea!”, for which anyone could enter, who felt that he/she offered customers a really gorgeus christmas window display.   The jury took a walk around the town in the afternoon of 4th December in order to rate the shop windows, and announced its rating points in several categories, such as elegance, harmonic appearence, style, use of natural materials, surprising, funny or fabulous ideas. The general public could vote for the service provider who would won the Audience Award based on the pictures shared by the participants on the website www.facebook.com/heviz.info. Awards were given out in a total of 4 categories.  I. The 15 nominated hotels for the "Hotel of the Year" contested in three, four and five star categories.  In the four-star superior category the Hotel Európa fit****superior has won the title of “Hotel of the Year”, as the only provincial hotel in Hungary. The jury took into consideration the quality of services (investigated on the basis of the MSZÉSZ' own mystery shopper tests), the innovative sales and hotel management methods, the revenue-indicators, Human Resources practices, CSR as well as the opinions of guests (on hotel review and reservation websites such TripAdvisor, Booking, Expedia, Holidaycheck, etc.).   We are especially proud of this award, because long years of well considered development policy, the customer-centric mentality and the hard work of nearly 200 workers have been rewarded with this prize. The „Aperitif bar” at the entrance of the restaurant has also undergone a complete transformation, and under the name of VinoBar it awaits the guests with new, fresh green colours and furnishings, as well as Hungarian wine offer. The most noticeable changes can be seen in the swimming pool. All of the internal pools has got a completely new look, all the covers has renewed, the white walls has got new colours, so the experience bath as well as the indoor swimming pool diverse from one another in their atmosphere and colours, according to their function. The cover exchanges in addition to walking surfaces affected also the inside part of the pools.   All the bathrooms in the main building has been renovated. Similarly to the reconstruction of the apartment building, a completely new design applied also in the bathrooms, where the functionality play the major role. Following our guest’s expectations we reduced the number of rooms with bathtub, and with this we increased the number of rooms with comfortable shower cabin.

The path of Qi (vital power) is opened with needles, by ensuring its circulation and the balancing of controversial energies (Jin and Jang).  In ancient times, when acupuncture was developed needles were made from bones, stones and bamboo. European physicians use flexible steel needles, instead of the traditional golden or silver needles. The length of acupuncture needles varies between 10 to 200 mm. But also permanent needles are used, which are taped after insertion and allowed to remain in the body for several days. There are approximately 400 acupuncture points on our body. Paraffin treatment is recommended for the treatment of dry, chapped and stained hands. The treatment starts with a hand wash, which is followed by rubbing. After the removal of the devitalised epidermic cells, the skin absorbs easier the lotion used during hand massage. The next step is dipping the hands in warmed up paraffin, which sticks to the skin and the hands are covered in a plastic bag and gloves. Guest is relaxing for about 20 minutes in the wrap. After that the gloves together with the paraffin are removed. Finally the hands are covered in skin-protection lotion. The treatment does not only treat the skin surface, but the active agents are also absorbed by deeper layers of the skin through the pores thus increasing blood circulation and oxygen supply of the tissues. The word paraffin comes from the composition of the Latin words of parum and affinis. Paraffin may be liquid, gas or solid. In clear format it is solid, odourless, colourless, white material with a waxy touch. Melting point is around 47 to 64 °C.
