The Interreg Cooperation Day, entitled “One Day, Two Countries, Shared Adventures,” was held with great success over the weekend. At the joint event organised by the Interreg Programme Slovenia–Hungary and the CROSSDEST project, nearly 150 participants explored the region’s natural assets and tourism offerings.

When the Hévíz Tourinform Office opened its doors in 2006 and joined the National Tourinform Network, tourist information still consisted largely of printed brochures, paper maps and verbal directions. Over the past two decades, however, the office in the heart of the pedestrian zone on Rákóczi Street has become much more than a simple information point: it has become Hévíz’s true “compass”, one of the most important meeting places in the city’s community life and the starting point for unforgettable experiences.

From 31 August 2026, construction of a pedestrian promenade will begin in Hévíz on the Thermal Lake side of Széchenyi Street, between Ady Street and Kölcsey Street. Parking will be suspended in the affected area for the duration of the works.
