Endre Szántó, local historian and photographer, was born in 1954 in Eger and has been travelling the world for five decades, capturing the landscapes of Europe, Asia and the American continent through his photographs.
In 1986, he earned his PhD in agricultural history at Gödöllő with summa cum laude distinction. His first study was published in 1988 in Zalai Gyűjtemény, and in 1990 he co-authored his first book with his father, titled The History of Alsópáhok and Felsőpáhok.
He explored the history of Hévíz across eight volumes under the title The Birth of a Spa Town – The History of Hévíz.
For nearly thirty years, his work has been defined by dedication to local history research and a commitment to culture. He now presents his life’s work in the form of a photographic exhibition.
