The Hungarian cuisine is based on vegetables and meat. The paprika is the vegetable that is the most typical for this country. There are 75 kinds of it – ranging from sweet till very hot. Among the basic ingredients there are also onion, tomato, and from the meats beef and veal. The dishes are seasoned with pepper, tarragon, thyme, cumin or sage. A rightful place is reserved for the garlic, too.
