tartalom: + 1 In the face of growing global climate change, the need to respond to its impacts has never been more urgent. The Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) promotes economic, social, and territorial cohesion in the Danube River region, enabling partners from 14 countries to test innovative solutions for climate resilience.   The first call of the Interreg Danube Region Programme attracted 290 concepts, of which 89 passed to the second stage, and 60 reached the stage of financing agreements. Twenty of these projects fall under the priority "A greener, low-carbon Danube Region." One innovative project from this selection is Be Ready (UrBan hEat islands REsilience, prepAreDness and mitigation strategy). The project aims to provide local and regional authorities with tools to identify urban heat islands and understand their causes and consequences on human health, productivity, energy consumption, and biodiversity. The project brings together 19 partners from 12 countries jointly developing solutions to mitigate the effects of heat islands in urban environments. Partner cities, including Hévíz will develop action plans to overcome urban heat islands through data analysis, urban planning solutions, regulations, increased awareness, and infrastructure measures.   A key aspect of the project's approach is the concept of "urban acupuncture" - specific small interventions with a large effect. Urban pilot activities will explore solutions in three areas: "green acupuncture," using vegetation; "white acupuncture," using innovative surfaces and materials; and "blue acupuncture," related to new ways of using water resources.   You can get involved and support actions fighting climate change Hévíz and make the world more sustainable for everyone. Find more information about the project on our social media pages on Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as on the project website: https://www.interreg-danube.eu/projects/beready. This project is supported by the Interreg Danube Region Programme co-funded by the European Union.

2. BEREADY PROJECT

Last modification: 2024. January. 26. 11:12

The project Be Ready (UrBan hEat islands REsilience, prepAreDness and mitigation strategy) addresses the climate change capacities in the Danube Region taking into account ecosystem-based approaches. The common challenge to be tackled is urban heat islands (UHI). The recent unprecedented heat waves demonstrate the acute need to strengthen the preparedness and adaptive capacity of the society to cope with impacts of climate change and foster resilience at city level.

tartalom: + 1 Be Ready aims to:          - provide local and regional authorities with research, assessment and operational instruments to better understand UHI, its drivers, and effects;          - co-create, test and validate jointly developed solutions to mitigate the UHI effects in cities;          - support partner cities to develop and adopt action plans for increased resilience to UHI effects with specific actions to promote green, blue, or white measures. The novel approach to be taken by the project – “green acupuncture” - will allow the partners, both cities and knowledge partners, to take targeted, small but powerful, context-based measures to deal with UHI in critical urban areas. City pilots will test solutions in three areas: “green acupuncture” (vegetation-based interventions); “white acupuncture” (based on innovative surfaces and materials); and “blue acupuncture” (novel uses of water resources). The project main outputs include jointly developed and implemented methodologies and toolkits for UHI risk assessment, data analysis and modelling at city level; co-designed solutions for tackling UHI, tested and peer reviewed in urban environment by 12 pilot cities; a common strategy for improving the climate change preparedness and resilience aimed at local and regional authorities in the Danube region; action plans and transformative strategic outlooks for the participating partners; policy recommendations; a virtual training program with SPOCs; awareness campaigns in 12 countries over the 30-month period. Key for Be Ready is the ClimateSandbox approach that will support participating cities to define and deploy climate-oriented innovations – both on the technological and service side (i.e. content) and on the policy, administrative and spatial planning side (i.e. enabling conditions), through the innovative digital Climate Sandbox Technological and Societal Readiness Tool. The project's ambition is to showcase to decision-makers and other stakeholders across Europe the benefits of adopting solutions in which the environment, simplicity, and aesthetics play a key role as value-generating agents as well as community engagement drivers, throughout the co-design process, acting both at levels of solution definition, development, and deployment. Implementation period: January 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026 Partners:          • Sofia Development Association, Bulgaria – Lead Partner          • DEX Innovation center, Czech Republic          • Association Tehnopol of Galati, Romania          • Chișinău Town Hall, Moldova          • Municipality of Galați, Romania          • Science and Technology Park Nis, Serbia          • City of Nis, Serbia          • City of Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina          • Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Slovenia          • Capital City Podgorica, Montenegro          • University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria          • Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia          • Municipality of Ratiboř, Czech Republic          • South Moravian agency for public innovation JINAG, Czech Republic          • City of Kranj, Slovenia          • Association Bureau for Integration and Social Innovations, Bulgaria          • Development agency North Ltd., Croatia          • Municipality of Hévíz, Hungary          • Small Business Development Foundation of Kisalföld, Hungary Be Ready is an Interreg Danube Region Programme project co-funded by the European Union.

It protects and improves your physical and mental health without any side-effects within a short period if time. It helps you prevent diseases and stimulates the self-healing mechanism of the organism. Massaging the sole opens a way to affect the central nervous system, circulation and internal organs as it is extremely rich in nerve endings. In the reflex zones related to the particular organs crystalline lumps of various sizes may be felt which could often be sensitive or even painful. The aim is to rub off these deposits and detoxify the body, improve blood circulation and stimulate the self-healing capacity.Thai massageAn Indian medical man was the first to use this technique in Thailand 2500 years ago. In the course of time it changed but it has preserved its bases up to this day. The massage is carried out with hand, elbow, sole or knee along the so called meridian lines connecting the acupuncture spots. You can enjoy this massage wearing a comfortable cotton T-shirt and cotton trousers. It has a relaxing effect, reduces tension and pain and affects muscles, interstitial tissues, joints, the autonomic nervous system, organs, blood circulation as well as the lines and spots harmonizing energy. Thalasso therapySince the mid-19th century the thelasso therapy - -derives from the Greek word "Thalassa" = sea – has combines the holistic and the wellness experiences for the body and soul. A French doctor called La Bounnadiére was the first to use the designation in 1867, and since then it has been associated with soothing and regenerating effects of the therapy applying sea water, seaweed and sea climate. YumeihoYumeiho is a kind of massage originated from Japan. It was created by Sajoni Masayuki, who used the elements of martial arts of Chinese Buddhist monasteries. The masseur kneads the body thoroughly, stretches the joints and loosens the blocks to make motion and energy flow free. The treatment combines the techniques of acupressure and the manual therapy with eastern physical exercises.   More about wellness? Here!

As a result the direction and the intensity of the flow of the chi, that is vital force, in the meridians will be restored to the normal and healthy channel. Acupuncture Human has around 360 main acupuncture points, and through these points certain disorders of the body may be stopped by using acupuncture needles. The acupuncture is quite effective against pains and it also stimulates blood flow, stabilises circulation, increases the body energy level and improves the general state of health. Anti-aging It comprises treatments which help you remain fit and young, including stress relief, exercise therapy, beautician techniques, change of eating habits, vitalising substances, brain training, change of lifestyle, and many others. Aquarobic It is gymnastics performed in water and accompanied with instructions and mostly with music, which is protective to joints but it is also featured of training and massage as it requires force against the water-pressure.   Aroma-light therapy It is not the scent what is primarily used in aroma-therapy treatments but the volatile oil extracted out of plants. Volatile oils have certain components that get locally active within the body and perform only a secondary effect through smelling. With lighting during the light therapy coloured light penetrates deep into the skin so that to stimulate the positive reactions of the cells to everyday complaints and mental disorders.       Ayurveda The Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine and philosophy at the same time, which aims at the individual instead of the treatment of disease or symptoms by consideration and comparison of the individual habitus, climate, the seasons of the year and parts of the day, lifestyle, diet and many other aspects.

tartalom: + 1 Gulyás, pörkölt, rétes, tócsni, langosh, halászlé or lecsó – the Hungarian names sound intriguing, although many of them you can see on the Polish tables. Apart from the dishes that you can taste everywhere in the country, each region has its characteristic plates, typical for a given area.  Dödölle – local specialty In the a charming city of Hévíz, located 200 km to the south west from Budapest, just 6 km away from the Balaton lake, reigns a dish called dödölle. It is a kind of potato noodles made of potatoes and flour, fried in the lard with onion. They are sometimes served with sour cream. The classic recipe is simple, however you can often meet different variations – with spinach, cottage cheese, celery or beetroot. There are also sweet versions – with apple and cinnamon or strawberries. A feast in Hévíz When you come to Hévíz you need to visit the places where you can taste a wonderful cuisine based on the local products. Family restaurants and old cellars are located by the vineyards. In the Hungarian taverns Hungarian specialties are served by the sounds of Gipsy music, just a few hundred meters from the beautiful lake, tempts with the traditional, modern, fish and vegetarian dishes. It is worth mentioning that Hévíz is most of all famous for the biggest biologically active thermal lake in the world, in which you can swim. The wine from the Balaton region The traditions of wine production in this region date back to the Roman era, when at the Egregy hill (which is in the borders of the town) the viniculture was introduced. In the time of the Arpad dynasty the production was continued which is proven by an official certificate dated back to 1221. The climate is favorable for the cultivation of grapevines, and there are excellent white wines produced here, as well as you can taste red wines, too. The most recognized grape variety includes Olaszrizling (Italian Riesling), Szürkebarát (Pinot Gris) and Rizlingszilváni (Müller Thurgau). There are also Zöldveltelini (Grüner Veltliner) and different kinds of Muskotály (Muscat). The most typical for the region is Cserszegi fűszeres. It is resistant to frost, its wine is full-bodied and has a spicy taste. The wines made from this vine were many times awarded. Quotation of Ms Orsolya Horvath, managing director of Tourism Non-profit Ltd. of Hévíz. We invite to visit Hévíz! There is a wonderful cuisine awaiting our guests, that you can taste in many restaurants and taverns. The gourmets will surely appreciate the local specialties and the excellent taste of the local wines. While visiting Hévíz you can also take advantage of the benefit of the thermals lake’s waters, which is unique in the world. The baths and relaxation treatments will be a nice addition to your stay.  Tourist Information Hévíz tel. 00 36 83 540 131 heviz@tourinform.hu http://www.heviz.hu/en

tartalom: + 1 The largest natural and biologically active thermal lake in the world was declared a "Hungarikum" (meaning special things which are unique to Hungary) years ago and was also included in the list of special national values of Hungary. The flora and fauna of Lake Hévíz are unique due to the water temperature, its composition and its special environment. Due to mild water temperature that you can experience all year around, there is a Mediterranean microclimate around Lake Hévíz, which has produced some very rare animal and plant species. These wonders of nature must be consciously and sustainably protected, and it is precisely for this reason that a comprehensive protection project is being implemented, for which 662 million Hungarian Forints are being invested.   THE PARTS OF THE LARGE-SCALE PROJECT In the nature reserve of Lake Hévíz the reduction of invasive alien animal and plant species, and species protection was introduced, the improvement of the tree population in the protection forest in the nature reserve was executed, The biodiversity of the green areas in the Hévíz-Keszthely moor was increased, Improvements to the water level regulation and the water control system - this includes e.g. the locks – were made. The infrastructure that showcases the Hévíz Lake and the Hévíz Stream as a green corridor between the Keszthely Mountains and the Kis-Balaton was developed. SPECTACULAR PROJECT ELEMENTS DELIVERED ON JULY 14th: the 2.2 km long Water Lily educational trail at the thermal lake 15 m high treetop viewpoint A plank path from which the swampy habitat with the newly filled thermal lake can be admired on accessible routes The resting areas, benches and bridges were renewed   CURRENT PROJECTS: But the work is far from over. Many elements of the project are still in the works, and ideas for further improvements came up that would serve the comfort of guests and residents alike. For example, the design of resting and stretching points next to the running routes, family-friendly natural rest areas, additional planting, but also the creation of a wet biotope is a process that takes several years. In addition, walkers with dogs will not be left without developments in the near future, because development plans have also been drawn up that think about them. The opening ceremony was followed by a tour of the development area, part of which was the handover of the roofed canopy viewpoint, which is currently in trial operation.   [galeria] More information: Tourinform Office Hévíz 8380 Hévíz, Rákóczi str. 2. +36 83 540 131 heviz@tourinform.hu
