cím: The Bobo Fun Park has opened in Alsópáhok!

tartalom: + 1 The Bobo Fun Park is more than a regular adventure park. This is the perfect place for both children and adults to have some fun or blow off steam. The fun park is also a remarkable venue to organise birthday parties, dates or team-building days! The Bobo Fun Park has opened its gates on 14 June 2021. The Fun Park can be found in Alsópáhok, next to Hotel Kolping. If you are looking for some active leisure time or your children need some place to play... this place has everything in the 3000 m2 big hall! The fun park is located in an indoor facility which makes it perfect to visit during rainy days as well. The park is open for everyone over 6 years old.     THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE ENTERING You can buy two kinds of tickets: one from 10 am to 2 pm and another from 3 pm to 7 pm. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the venue as well. You can arrive anytime but you have to leave the park at 2 pm and 7 pm. Between 2 pm and 3 pm and after 7 pm the crew of the park cleans up and also sanitizes the venue so children could play in a nice and tidy environment. At the moment the park can only be visited with immunity/vaccination cards over 18 years old.     THINGS YOU SHOULD LEAVE AT HOME AND THING YOU WILL NEED It is strictly forbidden to bring in food or drinks with you so the park could remain as clean as possible. You can have some refreshments and snacks at the café of the fun park. When you first enter the park, you have to purchase a pair of grip socks (non-slip socks). You can keep these socks and bring them with you next time. If you want to try out the climbing walls as well, you should bring a pair of indoor shoes which have clean and light-coloured soles. Before entering you have to fill in a declaration of liability form. Under 10 years old, children can enter only with an adult, between 10-18 they should have a statement of consent from their parents. Come to the Bobo Fun Park and enjoy yourself!

Water paradise for children Swimming with rubber rings in thermal lake, which temperature is reaching 38 °C in the summer, definitely won’t insult anyone and your older children are not going to complain about cold water. What to do in case your sunshine gets bored over swimming in lake? There is a special children pool for the smallest (under 12 years) opened right next to the lake in the summer. Kids can not only enjoy the water to the fullest, but there are also special animators programs offered and they can try water gymnastics, test their swimming ability or enjoy games with creative water crafts. Most hotels has own pool, that promise a great amount of fun. If you have chosen to live in a hotel without pool, in the apartment or in private, do not worry, for small fee you are welcomed to visit any pool anytime in a day. Children playgrounds for child of any age Are your children who can´t give up the experiences of a playground during a day? Hévíz has a very positive attitude towards the smallest and therefore has focused on renovation of playgrounds in the city over couple of last years. Playing fields are diverse and suitable for all age groups. If the adults are also like to play, they can try the street workout park. Hurray for bike or try Segway In case you have not decided to bring your own bikes to your holiday and your little sportsman demands to go cycling, do not panic. Hévíz has a high level service, therefore you can lend bikes for the whole family there. System of cycle tracks is well branched and would offer great experience to you as well as to your children. If any of you is too tired to bike, you may try Segway instead. Children older eight years are allowed to drive alone, otherwise for younger ones can be carried by the adults in a little trailer after the Segway. Family trips for history, animals or adventure You don’t need to be a professional athlete to handle walks around the city and in the surroundings. Touristic symbols and sign-posts will help you in the orientation.  There is a great amount of ruins in Hévíz surroundings for example Tátice, Szigliget or Sümeg, where you can personally find out and try the medieval history. Treasure of the area is chateau Festetics in town called Keszthely. A museum in the chateau has permanent hunting exposition, there is also the carriage museum or Animal Park. In the Keszthely city centre is puppet museum, historical panopticum as well as snail Parliament. Next to the road on the way to Keszthely is an Adventure Park, where kids are invited to enjoy several games.

So we went to test some adventure parks at the western end of Lake Balaton to see where it's worth going now, so before the beach season.

How to describe it simply: a huge, really huge, two-level hall, which is very demanding and spectacular inside and out, full of crawling-climbing-jumping experiences. The arena has a morning and an afternoon game time, and you can choose from two types of tickets, depending on how committed you are. There are also separate coin-operated, paid VR experiences, but the main attractions are rather the moving tracks. Climbing walls, trampolines, ninja track, indoor rope course, etc. It's a great experience for adults, even without children. Who do we recommend? For anyone who likes to move, crawl and climb, whether as a family, with small children or with friends. This place can be perfect for teenagers and even adults, if they want a little (big) exercise and a challenge. Bobo Fun Park - Adrenalin Arena's own website Advantages very demanding location, with demanding games provides recreation for several age groups it moves mom and dad too the VR room is a real treat for those who like futuristic experiences cleanliness, order regardless of the weather, it is always open You can easily get here from Hévíz on foot, by bicycle or by bus Consider this! you have to pay attention to the playing time, as the day is divided into two periods it is forbidden to bring in food and drink, in exchange there is of course a high-quality buffet with hot and cold food and drinks it's a shame that you have to pay extra for VR experiences Our tip: For future guests: rules apply to wearing shoes and socks indoors! Therefore, make sure to find out before we go! For the operators: Some outdoor games would also be great, maybe a laser fighting track or a mini go-kart. DinoparkRezi The pairing may seem strange at first, but the park located on the border of Rezi has both life-sized moving dinos and adventure games. With the daily ticket, you can use many experience elements, such as rope courses, pool football, children's climbing wall, mini golf courses, bocce and bull rodeo, walking dino, treasure hunt, boating, trampolines, playgrounds, light railway, while some games can be used with tokens (token price: HUF 250): grip machines, air hockey, foosball table, simulators, basketball machine. Who do we recommend? Where at least one child is a dino fanatic. The park is a great experience with smaller children. DinoparkRezi's own website Advantages: the rope courses are good for several age groups, there is a section that even preschoolers can use It is even within reach by bicycle from Hévíz during the summer season there are quite a few different game options to choose from there is also a restaurant/buffet, but you can also bring your own food it is in an open space, in a large area, so there is no crowding it is open every day Consider this! outdoor, therefore only recommended in good weather some of the games are age-restricted   Our tip: There may not be enough trees, so in the hot sun, be prepared with sunscreen, water, a cap, and a hat to prevent sunburn. While mother/father/grandmother is enjoying the plants, perhaps selecting or shopping, the children can test their courage on the rope course. For grandmothers who would like to bring their grandchildren to a place for a few hours where they will be safe, and if they are not participating in archery together, they can relax in an arbor and enjoy the flowers. Tavirózsa Adventure Park's own website Advantages: the environment is wonderful and the operating couple is very nice the games are recommended for children under the age of 16 easily accessible by car or bicycle, but there is also a bus stop a few meters away for the more adventurous, there is also a go-kart track in the immediate vicinity it is open from Monday to Saturday Consider this! outdoor, so only recommended in good weather the ropeway is not very high, so it is not great for adrenaline junkies it's not a very big park, so it's not a full-day program, but that can even be an advantage Our tip: Go with your eyes open, because it is difficult to find the park at first, but not because it is not easily accessible, but because we only notice the horticulture. In Zobor, there are both outdoor and indoor games, 4XD Cinema, escape room, adventure castle, giant trampoline, rope course, slide, free fall tower, laser combat, airsoft, water dodgem, VR experiences, water playground and the biggest attraction is the roller coaster. But there are even live animals, and even if you're in the area, you shouldn't miss the wine estate. The park is a real treat, with many attractions, which are best viewed as a full-day program. Who is it recommended for? Especially for families with children, if the goal is to find a full-day program with lots of comings and goings and adventures, which can be an option even in bad weather. On the afternoon begins the masquerade parade, the burning of a straw figure to drive the cold and you can buy from the famous carnival doughnut.      19th-22nd April | Easter Fair of Handmade Goods The season starts with diverse programs in which you can get to how a typical Hungarian Easter is celebrated. Each day of the Easter Festival the visitors awaitwith fairs, playhouses and traditional food, of course.       1st-5th May | Hévíz at the Turn of the Century The event, which was started in 2011, evokes the ‘golden years’ of Hévíz, a period that lasted from the 1860s to the 1930s. The town tries to recall the atmosphere of the palmy days of peace in every possible way during the event: organ-grinders wearing tails and top hat play music in the streets, ladies dressed in hoop skirt and hat walk in the flowering park leading to the thermal lake. The event will be opened by a costume parade accompanied with live music and dance, in the course of which the professions and trades of the period will be presented.   11st May | Flavius Day In Egregy (a district of Hévíz) next to the remains of the Roman villa, in a beautiful landscaped area, we recall the traditions of Roman times: gladiator fights, toga parades, ancient oracles, the fashion and hairstyle, as well as ancient board games. You can have a taste from the dishes and drinks of the period.     19th May | 4th Running Festival of Hévíz The runners who manage to run 4-14-21 km will not only get to experience a well-organised event but they also will be gifted T-Shirts, medals and an unforgettable experience! The half marathon can be done individually or in a relay.       5th-8th June | Pentecostal Merriment and Fair During the four-day Pentecostal celebrations, we await the visitors of Hévíz with joyful programmes and activities. The tradition of electing the king and queen of Pentecost will also be evoked. During the festivities, don’t miss the Pentecostal fair and playhouse either.       16th June | XIV. Lotus RetroConcours D'Elegance At the Lotus Retro Mobil Concours d'Elegance, precious and exotic collectibles from Hungary, Austria and Germany find their way to Hévíz. On Sunday in the large park of the Lotus Therme "high-gloss atmosphere", when the beautiful models of Mercedes, Lotus, Jaguar, Corvette, Cadillac or Porsche can be viewed and evaluated. You can further expect a grill tent, kid’s programs.     21st-23rd June | Angels and Vagabonds All-arts Festival including International Colony of Artists, Cinematic Art Symposium, Street Music and Street Art Festival and the Long Night of Museums Visitors will be offered lively and colourful programmes in the centre of Hévíz during the three-day event. The multiplicity of music (country, pop, dixie, guitar, accordion and brass band music, relaxing music, folk music, as well as jazz and pop), along with showmen, living statues, acrobats, street artists walking on stilts, painters, draughtsmen make the weekend fascinating and unforgettable.   6th-7th July | Flavours, Dances, Good Neighbours including Folklore and World music Festival In the course of this two-day festival, in addition to the wonderful treasure of the Hungarian folk dance, folk music and cuisine, the folk art and gastronomy of the neighbouring countries will also be introduced, as it is referred to in the title.     20th July | St. Mary Magdalene Fair in Egregy The patron saint of the Árpád-age church in Egregy is St. Mary Magdalene. The parish feast is held in her honour on Mary Magdalene’s Day every year. Real festive atmosphere with arts and crafts fair, carousel, shooting gallery and excellent culinary offers are provided for the visitors.     3rd-4th August | Nostalgia Weekend At the nostalgia weekend, the centre of Hévíz will be filled with chamber ensembles, pianists recalling the atmosphere of old cafés, while couples are dancing the waltz all around. The visitors of the programmes can enjoy nostalgic melodies by candlelight at the terraces of coffee shops and restaurants.       10th-11th August | Fair of Handmade Goods This weekend, Hévíz is hosting a fair full with handmade crafts made by local craftsmen and women.         16th-20th August | 8th Wine Festival of Hévíz At the 8th wine festival of Hévíz, we await our guests with a cultural and culinary offer unique in the region. In addition to the wineries of Zala County, the representatives of the prominent Hungarian wine regions will also introduce themselves in the ‘wine street’ of Festetics Square. The lovers of wines can enjoy wonderful drinks under centuries-old sycamore trees in a pleasant atmosphere.   7th September | Harvest of Egregy On the first weekend of September, the traditional harvest festivities is organised in the district of Egregy. The event starts off with the traditional harvest parade and continues with the harvest. Taste delicious wines with traditional music playing in the background.         21st-22nd September | Fair of Handmade Goods We await you with a weekend filled with local handmade crafts in September too!           9th-10th November | St. Martin’s Day and Family Festival The popular goose race kicks off the St. Martin’s Day Family Festival every year. In addition to children’s programmes, handcraft workshops and folk playground await visitors. The new wine will be blessed in the Holy Spirit Church. It will be followed by a lamp-lit march from the church to the location of the festival. Most frequently used electrotherapy treatments During iontotherapy the ions of a medicine prescribed by physician are introduced to the body via the skin with the help of local galvanic current. It may be local and general: relieving muscle- and traumatic pains and arthritis. It is beneficial for migraine and aortic stenosis; it also speeds up the absorption of hematoma and softens up scarring. Diadynamic current therapy is a special electrotherapy, which has an alleviative and circulation boosting effect. lead: The two-thousand-year-old legend about the miraculous healing lake has been revived

tartalom: + 1 The most well-known Hévíz legend about the formation of the lake and its miraculous effect is linked to the Roman Emperor Flavius Theodosius. According to the legend, Flavius suffered from infantile paralysis. Every day, his Christian nurse prayed to Virgin Mary asking for the boy’s recovery. Virgin Mary answered her prayers and brought forth water. A whole lake was formed from the thermal spring. The nurse bathed the ill child in the water of the lake regularly. Miraculously, Flavius got over his illness by the help of the water and became a strong, healthy ruler, the emperor of the Roman Empire. Out of gratitude, he declared Christianity the official religion throughout the realm in 391. The legendary curative lake is none other than Lake Hévíz, in the water of which thousands of patients have been healed and have regained the pleasure of healthy movement since then. Where once a miracle happened, there it can happen any time again. Next to Villa Rustica (Roman Ruin Garden, at the end of Attila Street in Hévíz), the ribbons placed on the “Wall of Wishes” revive the Roman legend. Up to now, hundreds of Flavius wish ribbons have been placed on the “Wall of Wishes” by the guests of Hévíz. They wished, for instance, for world peace, health and happiness for their families, travel and long life, or successful school-leaving examination. The Balaton lake has been well known among countrymen since a long time. It is a good idea to plan your route more to the South and discover the West Balaton region. It is a perfect place for the family holidays, for the history lovers, the fans of water sports or the connoisseurs of the Hungarian cuisine.   Hungarian see The Balaton lake which is ca. 500 km far from the southern borders of Poland, is the biggest lake in Hungary and Central Europe. It is 77 km long and 4 to 15 km wide. The average depth is 2,5 m and the deepest point is 12 m deep a Tihany Well. In summer the temperature of the water oscillates between 22°C a 25°C. The Hungarians call the Balaton lake their sea and it is one of their favorite places for leisure.   Holidays at the West Balaton The West Balaton region is very reach in touristic attractions. There are many beaches and the depth of the lake is not more than 1,5 m for over a few hundred meters. The holidaymakers can rent the water bikes or go on a boat trip, where there are special animation programs for children. Yachting is very popular in the region, there are also many windsurfers take advantage of the winds. Balaton is a paradise for anglers, too. They can fish in silence and serenity, meanwhile the canoeists can admire the beautiful landscapes.  In the vicinity there are many well prepared biking paths and interesting touristic routes. In the offer for those travelling on two wheels are routes of different length and difficulty. Kesthely, a university town with a beautiful palace of the Festetics family built in the middle of the 18th century, can be a good starting point. It is just 6 km far from a charming town of Hévíz, known for the biggest thermal lake in the world where you can swim all year long. Try to discover the secrets of the castles Szigligiet and Sümeg, and then take rest in the Buddhist stupa of peace. Do not forget to include in your itinerary the longest case in Hungary, Csodabogyós in Balatonederics. The city of Hévíz The spa resort Hévíz, with its emblematic thermal lake with unique healing properties, is a perfect place for leisure. The beautiful nature and idyllic atmosphere favor clearing your mind, and one of the biggest attractions is a bath in the turquoise water. Not only is the lake located in beautiful surroundings, but also the waters are rich in minerals, e.g. calcium, magnesium and Sulphur, which help to heal different diseases. There are peat and peloid on the bottom, which have a positive influence on the skin. It is worth mentioning that in May the bath of Hévíz was given a EuropeSpa Med certificate, which confirms the highest quality of service.   Those who visit Hévíz may take a walk in a charming town. Do not forget to visit the church from the 13th century, built during the Arpad dynasty and get acquainted with the ancient artefacts from the region collected in the Museum of Egregy, that was opened to public in 2015. There are also the remnants of the Roman villa, that is nearby. If you would like to get to know history of the town and the lake, you may be interested in the exhibition in the Museum of Hévíz. In the collection there are medical and medicinal relics and also a book dated 1818, which was written by earl Richard Brighton and given to György Festetics, who was a contemporary owner of the lake.   Through the stomach to traveler’s heart A visit to Hungary is an exceptional culinary travel. It is hard to resist the local specialties, as well as hospitality, especially in the vineyards of Egregy. There are many taverns in the area between two street and in the summer you can hear vigorous Gypsy music. In the restaurants there are wine tastings and the landlords offer to the guests a glass of wine and csemege, a fresh house bread with lard, red paprika and onion. One of the most important regional dishes is dödölle, a kind of noodles made of potatoes and flour, fried in lard with onion. As far as the wines are concerned the most recognized vines in the area are Olaszrizling (Italian Riesling), Szürkebarát (Pinot Gris) and Rizlingszilváni (Müller Thurgau).

tartalom: + 1 Programs: 4th-5th August: Nostalgia Weekend: Old coffee house atmosphere, bar pianists, chamber musicians and waltzing couples. The event is held at Festetics and at Deák Square. Free admission to every event. 16th-20th August: 7th Hévíz Wine Festival: Countess Maritza operetta, Glenn Miller tribute concert, Budapest Jazz Orchestra,  Jenny Berggren (Ace of Base) concert. Arts and crafts fair, other exciting programmes every day, fireworks, tasty wine and good mood on Deák and Festetics Square. Free admission to every event. 22nd August: Fairy tale with folk and children’s songs. Presented by: the Csibész Youth Association’s group ‘Árvácska’. 31st August: Historical walk: a walking tour to discover the history and sights of Hévíz led by a costumed tour guide. Free admission.
