Closed Guest Information Database in all Hungarian accommodation

Guests will be required to provide the same personal data as for previous registrations / Name, address, place of birth, date of birth, nationality, identity document number /.
After the implementation of the system (1 st September 2021), the accommodation will be obliged to ask the guests for their identification document in order to verify the data and digitally record it in the VIZA system. It applies to all guests, regardless of age.
The VIZA system will store the data in encrypted form for up to 2 years, and only the police will have access to it for crime prevention and criminal investigation.
Before travelling, please make sure that all members of your family have a valid form of identification, i.e. a photo ID, to present when checking into your reserved accommodation.
