Our visitors can also take part in a unique end-of-season evening program. On the evening of September 9, 2022, from 7 p.m., Uncle Tibi Dévényi will conjure up a retro atmosphere on the shores of Tófürdő as part of our popular Moonlight Bath event. And on September 24, 2022, an 8-hour Spinday Marathon will be held, where the participating teams can ride in a frenzied atmosphere. So it's time to give you an overview of where and how much you can swim in the Hévíz area this summer after the adventure parks.

There are roughly 7+2 beaches near Hévíz that are very popular among guests. Keszthely City Beach | Keszthely Libás Beach | Alsógyenes Lidó Beach | Gyenesdiás Play Beach | Vonyarcvashegyi Lido Beach | Balatongyörök Beach | Balatonberény Beach + Dog Beach in Keszthely and Naturist Beach in Balatonberény   It is typical of the above beaches that you can go for a walk or even take a bath outside of the high season. You can use the playgrounds and sports fields, but the buffets and restrooms are only open during the beach season. In the late spring period, you should expect that renovations, weeding, flower planting, and toys are being renovated, but by the beginning of June, almost all beaches can be visited. There are entrance tickets, where they start collecting from June 1, and where they start collecting from the beginning of the school holidays. The opening hours - as long as you have to buy a full price ticket - are usually between 8:00 and 18:00, but in many places you can buy an evening swimming ticket before closing, which is cheaper and usually after 6 or 7, entry is free. Most beaches have student and pensioner discounts, family tickets or weekly passes can also be purchased. In terms of accessibility, a common feature of the beaches in the area is that they are easy to find. By bicycle, the cash desks are almost within reach of the Balaton bicycle path, and by car, of course, you can park for free next to every beach. Moreover, with the exception of the dog beach and the Libás beach, all other beaches are close to the local train station, so if you can, you can even go by train.   Lake Hévíz, as a uniqueness, is a spa, lake spa and beach spa all in one Unique in the world, Lake Hévíz combines thermal spas and beach spas in such a way that none of them really exist. Due to its uniqueness, you can bathe in the natural thermal spring all year round, and thanks to the covered parts, you can enjoy the experience of warm water even in pouring rain or snow. Depending on the weather, in the spring, usually in May, the beach area opens even earlier, where you can enjoy the pleasures of water around 30°C or even warmer before the Balaton beach season. The children's pools are only filled in mid-June, as they have heated normal water. From the point of view that you can swim in a real, natural, warm water lake and relax and sunbathe on its shore, it is more like a beach, but based on the services, opening hours and prices based on medicinal water, it can be classified more like a thermal spa. You definitely have to try it once, because it is really unique and special, completely different from all the usual beaches and adventure pools! Adventure baths and slide park Near Hévíz, we have to write about 3 major thermal and adventure baths and a slide park. Closer to Hévíz is the Kehida Thermal Bath in Kehidakustány, many people also visit the Karos Spa complex in Zalakaros, and Zalaszentgrót also has a thermal and adventure bath. Perhaps a little further, in Zalaegerszeg there is an Aquacity and slide park. The common feature of the first three thermal spas is that their indoor pools are open all year round, but in the summer season they also open their outdoor beach with adventure park, slides and a large green surface to the public. These baths, although they cannot be called classic beaches, can be visited regardless of the weather, since even if we cannot use the outdoor experiences, the indoor pools are still open. Another important feature they have in common is that they have pools with medicinal water and heated normal water pools. Aquacity, located next to the last-mentioned Zalaegerszeg, only operates in the summer, during the school holidays. It does not have an indoor bath, only outdoor pools and numerous slides, among which all ages can find their favorite. At the same time, just like the Balaton beaches, this adventure bath is only visited in nice, summer weather. Let's look at the prices for 2023! Adult day ticket prices for classic beaches in 2023! tartalom: + 1 What’s more, cycling is more than a sport! While cycling, you have the possibility to discover the world on two wheels while you are relaxing. Not to mention that cycling is also environmentally friendly and healthy as well! The bicycle road around Lake Balaton has been completed for 15 years. Cyclist have already cycled around the Lake more than once, but they are also ready for new challenges. Cycling became so popular in the past years that the bicycle roads are as crowded as the highways, especially in the summer season. The Hungarian Cyclist Association have been working relentlessly on the BB365 project and its results are already used by every biker. What is BB365 exactly? It is an abbreviation which stands for Balaton Bike 365, meaning that by Lake Balaton it is possible to enjoy bicycle services all year around. Thanks to the project, sign boards were placed out which signal 800 kilometres of bicycle roads in total, four times the length of the complete Lake Balaton bicycle round. 45 different thematic routes were also created, which are also noted by boards. For example, the routes including the Festetics Heritage are red coloured. Circle tours always have letter combinations. The three-digit numbers always mean local routes, while two-digit numbers mean national roads. One-digit roads usually connect to international roads. Be cautious though: the new signs don’t always signal separate bicycle roads since they can also point to appointed car roads or dirt roads too. The BB365 webpage and application are perfect for seeing these roads as well. The BB365 application was awarded ‘The Application of the Year’ award by the Hungarian Marketing Association last year. Cycling fans are able to plan their routes around Lake Balaton in 7 languages. Due to the project, three bicycle centres were also created in Keszthely, in Balatonfüred and in Balatonföldvár. In these centres, bicycles can be rented, or guided tour can be also booked. Fixing services will be also available in the future. For what the BB365 application is good for? Just like in Google, you will be able to make a cycling tour plan, however, in the BB365 app you will only see the routes that you can also cycle on. You will immediately see the quality of the road (bicycle road, car road, dirt road) and the altitudes as well. You are also able to filter your search based on recommended routes if you for example travel with your family or you would like to cycle with a mountain bike. You are also able to rate the routes and recommend it to others. With the pictograms, you can see the sights of the region like castles, viewpoints, museums or churches. Based on the short details given of the sights, you can easily plan where to stop during your trip. You can also search accommodations, restaurants, service points or spots to take free water. Children looking for a creative activity will not be left without a program either, as the Magic Sounds playhouse at the Tourinform office will keep them busy. The game is accompanied by music, from 18:00 the Cséplő-Poór Jazzy Duo entertains the audience with cheerful tunes. At the same time, the evening program begins on the stage, a Caribbean dance hall called Salsa Días Brillantes begins. After the dance, we can listen to a show by Boglárka Laczák and Szabolcs Bognár interspersed with musical and operetta melodies. In the evening, we can welcome the weekend with a wild concert by Odett, a singer from Zala. On Saturday a bubble arcade and a wooden toy park await children who want to play already in the early afternoon. This time, there is also a stage show for the little ones, as the Harisnáy Pipik invite them on a magical journey around the world. Afterwards, Jenő Őri & Iván Roman entertain the audience with violin and piano recitals. If it's a wine program, then MASZK's musical theater about wine fits into the evening stylistically. A Savignon Blanc from 2021 was titled Wine of the City this year, which you can taste at the stand of the winery as well. Previously, several lands were purchased in the area and several red wine grapes were planted alongside the white varieties. tartalom: + 1 Hungarian Innovation and Efficiency (MI6) Nonprofit Kft was established in 2011. The goal of the organization, which is also supported by the UN, is to promote all the energy efficiency processes through which Hungarian service providers can save energy and thereby save additional resources. The essence of the Virtual Power Plant Program (VEP) they operate is that: Unused energy is the greenest energy! The less energy we use, the more we can reduce CO2 emissions, thereby making the operation of our facilities more sustainable, energetically efficient and cheaper. The economic value of unused energy is the same as that of produced energy. With unused energy, we not only manage resources more efficiently, but also save money. The aim of the organization is to have service providers connected to the program either from the entrepreneurial, residential, civil or public sector; over time, do NOT use as much energy on an annual basis, so save as much as PAKS can produce. All of these results can be achieved with investments aimed at energy efficiency, technical developments, conscious decisions, the use of smart systems, lifestyle changes, recycling... For the 13th time this year, on May 4, MI6 awarded certificates to the service providers and institutions that achieved the best results in terms of energy savings in the past year.   How did the Hévízgyógyfürdő Szent András Rheumatic Hospital earn the certificate? The certificate is awarded for 1 year, and environmental engineer György Németh, the technical manager of the Szent András Rheumatic Hospital, told us about how to earn it. MI6 announced the program for the 13th year, but the Hévíz hospital applied for certification for the first time this year. Service providers can apply in different institutional categories, we have measured ourselves among hospitals. In order to be certified as an energy-conscious hospital, it was necessary to present the already implemented and planned measures aimed at energy efficiency, as well as to show how much we were able to reduce the institution's CO2 emissions in 2022 as a result of the technical changes, investments, and developments that have already been implemented, as well as how much we could count on financial savings. We can be proud that we met expectations in every respect. In recent years, several technical solutions have been completed in the hospital, with which we can achieve more energy-efficient operation of the facility. These include, for example, heat pump development, the solar park, rethinking the operation of facilities with building energy control smart systems. Of course, further developments are also planned. These will allow us to manage energy in different ways in different parts of the institution. It is also important for us to strive for a change of attitude among hospital workers, to make them interested in sustainable energy management in the long term.   How new is energy-conscious thinking in Hévíz? In Hévíz, the issue of sustainability and environmental awareness has long been an important and prominent aspect. Of course, this is also due to the fact that Lake Hévíz and its surroundings are a nature conservation area, so many regulations must be complied with. From the point of view of tourism, protecting this natural treasure is of particular importance in the settlement. Among the institutions in Hévíz, at the Szent András Rheumatic Hospital in Hévíz, we have been dealing with sustainability issues, energy efficiency, and cost-effective facility operation for a long time. This is also proven by the fact that this is not the first recognition of our work in the last 10 years. The institution has previously received the Greenovation award and the Ozone Green award. Of course, processes and developments in this direction have intensified since the first Covid year in 2019. The economic and social changes of recent years have initiated several processes in more and more institutions and state support systems, all of which favor decisions aimed at more cost-effective operation. Why is this award important? The Certificate of the MI6 Energy-conscious Hospital confirms that we are on the right track, that what we do is important. These recognitions are also very important to us because we consider this work to be a form of social responsibility. It is important that others know about it, the people who live here, our colleagues, the guests who come here. Let them see that sustainability is a priority in Hévíz and in our hospital, Tófürdő too! It must be seen that even a small intervention, operational decision or investment can achieve huge results in such a large institution. In fact! I'm going further! In an institution of this size, it is possible to save at least as much energy as with a new technical solution in the form of an investment, just by conscious employee behavior and conscious energy use. I believe that small steps can go a long way. Personally, my task is to operate a long-term sustainable Hévízfürdő together with my colleagues and everyone who works here. On May 4, the Energy-Aware Hospital Certification was presented to the hospitals by Katalin Szili, the hereditary patron of the VEP, and Zoltán Jenei (OKFŐ).
