The next event in the Summer Music Evenings by the Lake series features the Re-Folk Band, bringing authentic Hungarian folk music and a vibrant atmosphere, followed by a traditional Csángó dance house open to all.
The Re-Folk Band from Keszthely consists of four instrumentalists and one vocalist. In addition to the traditional string instruments—violin, three-string viola, and double bass—they also play a wide variety of plucked instruments (tamburas and koboz), wind instruments (recorder, kaval, tilinkó flute, and clarinet), as well as several distinctive folk instruments, including the hurdy-gurdy, cajón, and bouzouki.
The traditional Csángó dances of Moldavia are easy to learn thanks to their simple steps and community-oriented character, making them accessible even to those with no previous dance experience. Enjoy a memorable summer evening where music, dance, and Hungarian folk traditions come together in the unique atmosphere of the lakeside.
