lead: + 3 The origins of Yumeiho goes back all the way to Shaolin Schools. It was elaborated and developed later on by Professor Massayuki from Tokyo

tartalom: According to Professor Massayuki if the body is symmetric the blood and energy circulation of the body are accurate and the conjunctive tissues of the muscles are loose. If the symmetry and balance are thrown out of balance, locomotor diseases and internal organ problems may develop. Healing and health preventive power of Yumeiho lies in the balancing of the energies circulating in the meridians, furthermore in the loosening up of the muscles and in the restoring of the symmetry. Yumeiho mixes three Far-Eastern massage techniques: massage, acupressure and manual therapy. During the massage the muscles are loosened up, which improve the blood and lymph circulation and metabolism. Stimulation of the acupressure points releases the energy blockages. Joints are put back to their original position by using manual therapy. Yumeiho massage duration is about 45 to 60 minutes. The professional masseur massages the entire body. The treatment is carried out on a rubber mat, while patient is wearing his/her clothes. There are hundred basic techniques, which are complemented by two to three hundred manual therapy elements, depending on the illness. Yumeiho massage is used for the treatment of wide scope of illnesses. It is extremely beneficial for joint, rheumatic and muscle problems, spine diseases, locomotor diseases, trapped nerves, back-, shoulder-, waist-, leg- and certain headaches, furthermore to prevent and correct incorrect posture. Yumeiho massage was originally used to improve and boost the physical and mental performance of the Shaolin fighters. The method has been used in Hungary since 1990, when Professor Massayuki visited us and held his first training course.

cím: Hundreds of wishes written on coloured ribbons in Hévíz

lead: The two-thousand-year-old legend about the miraculous healing lake has been revived

tartalom: + 1 The most well-known Hévíz legend about the formation of the lake and its miraculous effect is linked to the Roman Emperor Flavius Theodosius. According to the legend, Flavius suffered from infantile paralysis. Every day, his Christian nurse prayed to Virgin Mary asking for the boy’s recovery. Virgin Mary answered her prayers and brought forth water. A whole lake was formed from the thermal spring. The nurse bathed the ill child in the water of the lake regularly. Miraculously, Flavius got over his illness by the help of the water and became a strong, healthy ruler, the emperor of the Roman Empire. Out of gratitude, he declared Christianity the official religion throughout the realm in 391. The legendary curative lake is none other than Lake Hévíz, in the water of which thousands of patients have been healed and have regained the pleasure of healthy movement since then. Where once a miracle happened, there it can happen any time again. Next to Villa Rustica (Roman Ruin Garden, at the end of Attila Street in Hévíz), the ribbons placed on the “Wall of Wishes” revive the Roman legend. Up to now, hundreds of Flavius wish ribbons have been placed on the “Wall of Wishes” by the guests of Hévíz. They wished, for instance, for world peace, health and happiness for their families, travel and long life, or successful school-leaving examination. Come and browse over the ribbons, then wish something. Write your wish on the ribbon and place it among the other wish ribbons. We understand that everyone's priority is to protect their loved ones because we feel the same way. Hévíz will wait for you! We will still be here when the epidemic is over.” In Hévíz, generations have grown up and lived their lives in the world of hospitality. They have experienced difficult situations, from wars to natural disasters, for which reason they have been prepared for almost everything. Based on many years of experience, every effort is being made to mitigate the risk of the epidemic, while keeping the safety of our guests and those living and working in Hévíz fully in mind. “At the same time, we cannot forget the guests who are still in Hévíz, as, Hévíz being a health resort, many guests stay here for a longer time to take treatments for their locomotive disorders and complaints. Under normal circumstances, accommodation, hospitality and catering facilities give priority to meeting high hygiene standards, for which they are now even more prepared. Additional hand sanitizers have been deployed in community spaces, the cleaning and disinfecting activities have been multiplied, cutlery disinfection rules have been tightened, and, if required, the chlorine content of swimming pool waters has been increased according to NFCSO (National Food Chain Safety Office) guidelines. Safety depends on all of us, let’s take care of each other!” In compliance with nationwide emergency regulations, the following precautions and restrictions have been implemented in the town to this day (Monday, March 16, 2020, at 2 p.m.): With the introduction of a limitation on the number of people in the lake, a maximum of 450 people can stay in the bath, which can safely receive this amount of traffic as an outdoor bath. tartalom: + 1 Ed. Fouten first visited Hungary 17 years ago and while travelling around the country decided to come live in Hévíz and Cserszegtomaj. He loves and knows the area very much. It is interesting that a South African world-travelled citizen who speaks 7 languages   ​​chose Hévíz as his place of residence and to retire here.   Where did you first hear about Hévíz? My first interest was by meeting a Catholic Hungarian priest at the church I was schooled at and being a good priest his positive interest stayed with me to visit Hungary one day which I did. I was very interested in Hungarian history and culture, so I bought a book with photos and a video. What did you like about buying real estate in Hévíz and its surroundings? The lake Balaton, héviz thetmal lake, beauty, country life, houses, restaurants,market, food, the world-class dentists and the people!   He would tell you a little bit about himself. What did you do in South Africa? I worked as a Finance Manager and Accountant and responsible for Audits. But everyone is interesting! For example, I also read a lot about Hungarian history, culture, architecture music, wines, different foods (paprika and lángos) the language and the lake!   How did you manage to learn Hungarian, which is considered to be one of the hardest languages in the world? I speak seven languages: English, Flemish, African, German, French and Spanish. I learned to speak German here, which was quite easy after learning English, not to mention the many German speaking people living here. I am learning Hungarian constantly. I understand and use a lot of words, however, I haven't managed to speak fluently and consistently yet. Maybe during the quarantine, I will have more time to focus on language learning.   What are you doing now in Hévíz, now that everything you can do here is closed?  I never get bored, I have a lot of friends in the area (Many Hungarian). I learned to cook Hungarian food and I like to host my friends. I go hiking in the area, December is a very nice month. In the summer, during the first wave of the epidemic, I had to travel home to visit my mother who was ill and needed care. My 90-year-old mother is now fine, but unfortunately due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and worldwide lockdown and borders closed, I had to wait until September to return to Hévíz. I missed it a lot. It was a very sad time not to experience the summer here, but I remained hopeful! I have many friends, in Cserszegtomaj. I have many grape vine trees, from which I make wine with the help of a local friend. Also apricot trees. In the meantime, I'm writing a motivational book on how to live a happy positive life. Another book will be about my travels and architecture, churches, and buildings. Do you have children, do they also visit Hévíz? I am the baptpismal godfather to two children in Keszthely, one is 5 and the other is 7 years old. They are sporty, active and happy children when they see me. They love their bicycles and want my attention to play with them!   Have relatives of your South African friends ever visited you? Yes of course. I used to organize a program for them, to introduce the area, I was accompanied by a group of 10 people. Even now, my acquaintances are waiting at home to end the virus situation and travel to visit me.They want to experience what the place has to offer and the country as a tourist. The friends also come from many other parts of the world, amongst others Canada, the UK, France, Switzerland, Mauritius and many who show interest to come. They want to experience the good dental work done here.   Which season do you like best in Hévíz? All seasons are beautiful. Spring with the freshness, beautiful flowers, summer with so much happening, autumn with the beautiful colors of the trees changing and winter with festivities lights, decorations and markets. Also waiting for some snow and the lake freezing up!   Do you swim in Lake Hévíz? Yes, as much as possible. In summer, seeing the sunset while swimming in lake Balaton and the “Hot air balloon" flying over! The thermal lake is refreshing and peaceful.   What is your favorite place in the area? The whole area has much to offer. The whole country I want to visit which has so much to offer a tourist which I promote.

So it's time to give you an overview of where and how much you can swim in the Hévíz area this summer after the adventure parks.

In terms of accessibility, a common feature of the beaches in the area is that they are easy to find. By bicycle, the cash desks are almost within reach of the Balaton bicycle path, and by car, of course, you can park for free next to every beach. Moreover, with the exception of the dog beach and the Libás beach, all other beaches are close to the local train station, so if you can, you can even go by train.   Lake Hévíz, as a uniqueness, is a spa, lake spa and beach spa all in one Unique in the world, Lake Hévíz combines thermal spas and beach spas in such a way that none of them really exist. Due to its uniqueness, you can bathe in the natural thermal spring all year round, and thanks to the covered parts, you can enjoy the experience of warm water even in pouring rain or snow. From the point of view that you can swim in a real, natural, warm water lake and relax and sunbathe on its shore, it is more like a beach, but based on the services, opening hours and prices based on medicinal water, it can be classified more like a thermal spa. You definitely have to try it once, because it is really unique and special, completely different from all the usual beaches and adventure pools! Adventure baths and slide park Near Hévíz, we have to write about 3 major thermal and adventure baths and a slide park. Closer to Hévíz is the Kehida Thermal Bath in Kehidakustány, many people also visit the Karos Spa complex in Zalakaros, and Zalaszentgrót also has a thermal and adventure bath. Perhaps a little further, in Zalaegerszeg there is an Aquacity and slide park. The common feature of the first three thermal spas is that their indoor pools are open all year round, but in the summer season they also open their outdoor beach with adventure park, slides and a large green surface to the public. It does not have an indoor bath, only outdoor pools and numerous slides, among which all ages can find their favorite. At the same time, just like the Balaton beaches, this adventure bath is only visited in nice, summer weather. Let's look at the prices for 2023! Adult day ticket prices for classic beaches in 2023! We warn you in advance that the ticket price does not reflect the quality of the services! On the slightly more expensive beaches, the extra program options and extra experience elements provide the basis for a higher price category, while the slightly cheaper beaches are typically smaller, more family-friendly, and offer fewer of the same high-quality services. The different types of ticket prices mean that entrance tickets to most beaches in the pre-summer season, in June, are cheaper than in July and August. And on Saturday evening, four folk dance ensembles will present themselves again as part of a folk dance gala, which will be interrupted by a folk fashion show during the breaks. This year, the DIÓ Band will be pulling the strings for the dancers and the audience.
