Cycling opportunities in Hévíz

Exercise is not just a part of the wellness recreation but it is also beneficial to the physical and mental activity of the visitors coming to Hévíz for an active holiday; recreation or health promotion. The most popular kind of sport with the visitors arriving in the town is cycling and participation in cycling tours.

There is a number of cycling routes in the area surrounding Hévíz, one more beautiful than the other, gently sloping or a bit steep routes, which are worth travelling. Browse our touring routes.

Many people come in the Tourinform Office just to pick up a map and they push on a bike tour of a length of 5 to 10 km or even of 25 to 30 km. They are the active cyclists who take their bikes with them wherever they go. However, most visitors would like to hire a bike here in the town.

You can hire a bicycle in the Tourinform Office; in 2011 the rental fee of a bike for 2 hours is HUF 1,000 and it is HUF 2,000 for all day.

If you have any uncertainty in the choice of the cycling tour, you can turn to our colleagues, who will inform you in person on routes in details; the effort to be made and the time required to cover the route as well as the sections the route includes.

You can also take part in organized cycling tours in which the group of cyclists is accompanied by a guide. The organized guided tours are subject to a minimal number of participants of 4. These routes cost HUF 3,000/person each. (The price includes the rental fee and tour guiding.)
